I use this USB switch to alternate the mic source for (steelseries arctis pro with gamedac) between PC and PS4. The gameDAC has 2 outputs: USB (to PC) and optical (PS4), but the the mic-USB input is from 1 source. So, using this switch has done a great job to give me the option to manually switch between the PC and the PS4 mic, "with affordable price and high quality" Thanks UGREEN

I used to switch the cables when im useing the keyboard and mouse between ps5 and my laptop , this thing was so helpful and u can connect hard drive and use it with both with out any issues

It is really worth the product in case you have to connect peripherals between computers which helps with a single click of a button and the LED showing the active port/device. But in order to connect multiple monitors, adapter cables are required and also separate charger to power up higher voltage devices.

I use it to connect my PC and my laptop to the same keyboard, mouse and webcam. Also to be used to connect a USB memory stick to either PC or laptop. This makes live easier, when working from your home office. Select PC or laptop by push of the button, led indication which is in use.

Using it to switch mouse and keyboard between 2 PCs. Plug the device into each PC using provided 1.5m cables and plug usb peripherals into the device. Press the button on device to alternate PCs. You will need to buy a separate power adapter to plug in high powered devices like hard drives. The box mentions the connector for input power is 5V micro USB. The USB cables that connect to each PC are USB A to A. The manual mentions not to use longer than 1.8m cables but longer cables should work fine for low powered devices. Update 07/2023: Since my review I've run into a couple of issues with this device: 1. If you plug in a really slow USB device, every other device plugged in will also lag and become unresponsive. For example when transferring files from one of those old sandisk usb/micro usb flash drives. 2. There tends to be frequent and unexplained input cutouts even when all you have plugged in are a wired mouse and usb keyboard and you're using just the keyboard. This is most noticeable when playing racing games and the keyboard decides to cut off right when you're flying towards a corner at breakneck speeds and completely lose the ability to turn and brake and smash into the !#^@#!^& barrier!!! As such I only plug a keyboard into this when I'm doing a lot of back and forth between 2 PCs. Too bad it's not plug in and forget.

It's a convenient little device if you're connecting more than one device. However, I have reliability issues with my device. I'm not sure if it's just my device, but it randomly disconnects and reconnects my mouse and keyboard, this happens enough times during the day to be a noticeable hindrance. The reconnection happens almost instantly as if you removed the plug and reconnected it. If you're gaming on this, it's a no go, but if you're just typing or normal browsing, it's tolerable (the connect/reconnect thing happens in a second), it's better than having to physically disconnect and reconnect your mouse and keyboard between your devices or having two separate sets of peripherals on your desk.

I had two laptops at home to switch between work and gaming. Just had both laptops plugged into the monitor with auto detect. Just by one press of a button I swap my keyboard, mouse and headset from one laptop to the other. Works amazingly!

Absolute necessary accessory if you are using two computers together (2 desktops or Desktop+laptop) and want to use the same mouse or keyboard or external hard drive. Click of a button and it switches computer

Like many people lately, I've got to use a work laptop at home, alongside my own personal computer. With two monitors to share and a keyboard/mouse/webcam to share as well, I bought this little USB switching hub. It allows 4 devices to be shared between two computers. The single button will switch from machine 1 to machine 2. Switching takes around 3.5 seconds. Major big plus: it works. All the time. As expected. No need to reboot "once in a while". Devices always get detected. No perceptible input lag when gaming (I ain't pro gamer though!). One of the reasons I chose USB 2.0 is that I suspected it would help "just working, all the time". So far so good. One computer is a Ryzen 7 machine, the other is a corporate Lenovo Thinkpad with a Thunderbolt dock. Only con is that you end up routing a lot of cables (five cables for three devices/two computers), all on your desk so you can reach the button on the box. I routed everything under my 32" main monitor, so it works out well, but it may be challenging if you wish a clean empty desk... So at the end, definitely recommended if you are looking for a simple, no frill way to share up to four devices between two machines. (for those curious why not a total KVM solution? Sharing two monitors require six more cables (2 per machines + to the actual monitors), that would have ended as a real cable mess behind the desk! Most monitors will sport several inputs, and it is actually possible to switch input _from the computer OS_ for most monitors)
