The burner worked fine for about 6 days, on the seventh day the hot surface light came on and never went off, so either I received a defective part or the quality of this product is so bad that it only last for about a week. The reason I know is this burner is because the light goes off when I disconnect it. I looked for a link to contact the seller directly but I didn't find one, maybe there is a way I just couldn't find it, that's why I opted to write this review maybe they will see it and contact me to make things right. Update: I was contacted by the seller the next day after posting this review and they agreed to send me a replacement, I didn't even have to return the defective part, I guess that's common practice for most Amazon orders. I just received the replacement today so I installed it right away and as expected it fixed the problem. Based on the positive interaction I had with the seller and that it took less than I expected to receive the replacement, I will be upgrading this review from 1 star (which I think it was to harsh on my part to begin with) to 5 stars. Time will tell if it was a defective or a poor quality part, I might write another update on that, but based on my first experience and on the price I'm getting the feeling that is going to end up being the latter.

Instalation review: Thanks to other reviews, I learned how to switch wires. 1a 2a 1b 2b were different on my Maytag 2003 burner. I was able to switch burners & carefully attach prongs. The new burner didn't have anchors so I used them from old burner (no biggie) Took less than 5 minutes. Normally the husband does this but he was working away. Tested it out & burner fired up quickly. Heat level great. I will update in a few months to see if it lasts. I had to use 1 of the 2 included extender wires. Fit was loose so i carefully crimped with pliers & it fit snug. Reason I ordered : my top right small burner died. I got on YT & swapped switch to determine switch was good, so next was new burner. Which was the issue. Ladies you can do this!! Find your burner & watch YT videos & save a lot of $ on calling in a electrician. Also save $ by getting part on Amazon verses brand replacement.

Excellent product work perfect to replace in a Whirlpool stove and 50% less cost than a whirlpool part. Called Whirlpool for service the said: a technician visit is $ 134.95 just to evaluated it. Every element of 6 inches size cost $104,00. replace two elements ($ 208 + 134.95 for visit = $ 342.95). Bought 2 Funmit318178110 for $ 83.00 on 02/15/21.

Great replacement for Kenmore but the wires inside the little box were switched, had to figure out by myself.

Bought this to replace burner for my elderly parents Kenmore stove. Worked properly when first installed and verified by my brothers. First time my 95 year old father used the burner it shorts out, loud pop, and does not work. Going back to used parts vs OEM part replacement number.

Fits exactly into my Maytag 6" one. Be sure to label the existing wirings, because my older element layout is 2b 2a, 1b 1a top to bottom, new one's 2b 1b, 2a 1a. Min effort to replace it, took about 20 mins. Hope this lasts longer, the old one been used for 8-9 years.

Almost a direct replacement for my Kenmore range(slightly different connection). Entire job took 15 minutes with only a Philips screwdriver and 1/4 inch nut driver. Saved over 200,00$ on a service call. Update: after a few days use the "Hot Surface" warning light stayed on for hours after shutting the burner off. Now it stays on all the time. Not worth the trouble to exchange the burner, but be advised.

Arrived quickly, perfecty replacement to the original frigidaire part. A bit expensive I find as I am sure I could not sell the whole stove for much more that the part but worth the cost if it save the stove for another few years. We will see.... So far so good.
