From what I understand it should work for the 30D, up to 137 gb theoretical is possible.

What does the number under the black and white bar mean...some say 20 some say 65?

Guarantees a minimum sustained write speed of 65MB/s to keep up with high-performance video cameras. Lower write speeds could be not as smooth, jibberish or not good quality!
