At first I went to a clinic for a laser treatment, until they told me I was too tanned for my original skin color and my hair was not dark enough as that it would make sense to continue an effective treatment. My natural skin color is pretty pale, but living in Dubai and having been to the beach a couple of times I got pretty tanned. Despite having blonde hair (also on my legs), this device works perfectly well! Of course you must conduct the skin test every time, but when you go ahead with the correct intensity for the right area the device does a brilliant job. To be honest, for me it worked even better than in the clinic and on top of that it is not painful at all (which has been the case when I went to the clinic). So all in all it is a great buy and definitely worth its money. Should even work better on darker skin when you have dark hair.

It is an original product. So I recommend buying it from here. For the product itself, I have used it 2x times so far. It does not stay charged long ( I manage to do armpits, bikini and one leg cordless -then battery s gone). There is a slight improvement in hair growth, mostly what changes is that the hair is growing thinner at first. I used to do laser in clinics before buying this and I think that helps too. I purchased this for my wife and here is what she got to say: It’s been just 2 weeks since I started using IPL Lumea. First thing I want to share is that I am an Asian with brown complexion. It was not a easy decision for me to buy this product as I was very doubtful about it working on my skin tone. Since I am a person who doesn’t likes going to saloon to get waxing done. I chose to go ahead and try this. My first session i used the device on my face, armpit and bikini area and it worked. What I have noticed it that the growth speed reduced drastically. Right now I have done 2 sessions so far. Generally my hair starts growing on the 2nd day itself. Now it’s day 5 and the skin feels smoother. Will update once I cross 2 months.

I used this one for a year. During that time it seem that the hair growing was delayed or stopped. However suddenly the machine stopped working and now all the hair returned to grow again as before. It was a waste of money and time

I cannot recommend this enough. 100% worth it. I have very dark and coarse hair and after 4-5 treatments I do not shave anymore. I used it every two weeks for 5 times and now I will do it once a month. I IPL my whole body. Love this and I never thought it would actually work!

Contente de l’avoir acheté, après un premier essai, effectivement les poils ont commencé à disparaître et ne plus repousser. Il faut cependant être rigoureux et continuer à le faire même après la disparition des poils. L’application est bien faite avec des rappels par notifications et le produit est vraiment de qualité. Il y a plusieurs niveaux à sélectionner selon votre sensibilité, mais l’application peut aussi vous suggérer une puissance selon votre couleur de poils et de peau. Il peut s’utiliser sur les jambes, le maillot, les aisselles, et le visage; avec différents embouts qui présentent des encoches (pour le faisceau de laser) plus ou moins larges selon la zone à traiter. Cela fait maintenant 3 ans je pense, et j’en suis toujours ravie. Je n’ai pas atteint la limite du laser, car je n’ai pas toujours été rigoureuse dans le temps.

Philips Lumea Prestige BRI956/00 ist auf den ersten Blick schon sehr beeindruckend aufgrund seiner Größe und des Gewichts. Nach dem Auspacken ist er sofort startklar, da er mit dem Netzkabel betrieben werden kann. Ich habe ihn zunächst voll aufgeladen, um die Freiheit zu haben, das Gerät kabellos zu nutzen. Gerade an eher schwer zugänglichen Stellen wie Achselhöhlen oder Bikinizone finde ich dies einfach praktischer. Der kabellose Betrieb ist somit bereits ein Vorteil gegenüber meinem alten Gerät. Die Akkulaufzeit ist allerdings nicht sonderlich lange und reicht gerade aus, um Unterschenkel und Achselhöhlen zu bearbeiten. Mit dem Hauttonsensor misst der BRI956/00 bei Berührung der Haut automatisch, welche Lichtintensitätsstufe für den Anwender geeignet ist. Für die Beine empfiehlt mir das Gerät die höchste Stufe 5, für Achselhöhlen und Bikinizone die Stufe 4. Beide Stufen empfinde ich in den jeweiligen Körperregionen nicht als unangenehm: Es piekst vielleicht ein wenig und fühlt sich warm an. Die vier verschiedenen Aufsätze sind für die jeweiligen Körperregionen optimiert und passen sich den Körperkonturen durch das geschwungene Design an. Eine schnelle Behandlung größerer Körperregionen wie der Beine ist durch den Körperaufsatz mit einem Behandlungsfenster von 4,1 qcm möglich. Die Aufsätze für die restlichen Körperregionen sind mit 2 bzw. 3 qcm entsprechend kleiner. Probleme hatte ich einzig mit dem Aufsatz für die Achselhöhlen. Trotz des kleineren Aufsatzes bekommt der BRI956/00 bei mir nicht immer genügend Angriffsfläche, um betriebsbereit zu sein. Hier macht es sich bezahlt, dass das Gerät ohne Kabel verwendet werden kann, um es entsprechend besser drehen und wenden zu können. Bei der Behandlung der Beine verwende ich den praktischen Gleitmodus, so muss man den Blitz nicht jedes Mal aufs Neue manuell auslösen. Indem man den Auslöser gedrückt hält und mit dem Gerät über die Beine gleitet, geht die Anwendung genauso präzise, aber schneller. Ich habe das Gerät jetzt zweimal im Abstand von zwei Wochen verwendet und kann insofern noch keine abschließend Bewertung abgeben, da eine deutliche Haarreduzierung nach vier Behandlungen bemerkbar sein soll. Anschließend muss das Gerät nur noch alle vier bis acht Wochen zur Nachbehandlung genutzt werden, um die Ergebnisse beizubehalten. Mein Zwischenfazit ist aber bereits sehr positiv: Die Handhabung des BRI956/00 ist einfach und absolut schmerzfrei. Der Zeitaufwand für die Behandlung der einzelnen Körperregionen hält sich in Grenzen, auch wenn sie nicht mit einer Rasur zu vergleichen ist, die zunächst schneller ist, aber eben auch keine dauerhafte Lösung einer Haarentfernung bietet. Philips selbst gibt folgende Zeiten an: Beide Unterschenkel: 8,5 Minuten Beide Achselhöhlen: 1,5 Minuten Bikinizone: 2 Minuten Schon nach 14 Tagen - also nach nur einer Anwendung - konnte ich allerdings schon eine sichtbare Haarreduzierung feststellen. Für den Test hatte ich nur das linke Bein bearbeitet, wo nach zwei Wochen nur noch vereinzelt Haare sprießten. Auch in den Achselhöhlen und der Bikinizone machte sich der Effekt bereits bemerkbar. Ich gehe davon aus, dass sich der Effekt durch die weiteren Anwendungen noch verstärken wird und die Haut bald glatt und haarfrei ist, ohne regelmäßig zu Rasierer oder Epilierer greifen zu müssen. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist der Preis des Geräts: Mit einer UVP von ca 500 € dürfte er für viele Frauen zu hochpreisig sein. Beim Kauf geht man allerdings kein Risiko ein, da auch für den Lumea Prestige 956/00 die Geld-zurück-Garantie innerhalb von 90 Tagen von Philips gilt.
