Mueller The Real Original Pro Vegetable Chopper & Mandoline Slicer, 10-in-1

I got this to help my daughter have an easier time making her meals and for when i might need to save time on cooking. She tried it last night and it helped her so much with cutting up things and saved her time on what she was cooking. The instructions are simple to follownin the booklet that comes with it and everything is so simple to switch out. It comes with multiple things to help make clean up easier. It cleaned well, I hand washed things but I really like the fact that everything can also just be throw in the dishwasher. Make life a little simpler. So happy I decided to purchase this!

After a previous version of this Mueller vegetable chopper broke, I decided to give another shot at it. After comparing both side by side, I can tell this updated version feels sturdier and includes several small improvements over the previous generation which make it easier and safer to use. The redesigned locking mechanism locks the blade inserts securely in place and requires pressing an unlock button before they can be removed. It is a simple addition but it makes swapping blades feel much more secure than the older design. It also comes with a storage tray that keeps every blade organized, so I don't have to search every drawer in my kitchen trying to find the right one. Functionality is where this chopper really shines. With multiple dicing, slicing, julienne, grating, and shredding blades, I can prepare everything from salsa and salads to potatoes for fries without pulling out several different kitchen tools. I mainly use it for onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, and peppers. Everything drops directly into the container underneath, which keeps the countertop much cleaner than cutting everything on a board. I also like the flexibility it offers. Switching between blade sizes takes only a few seconds, making it easy to adjust the cut depending on the recipe. The larger dicing blade works well for soups and stews, while the smaller one produces evenly sized vegetables that look much better in salads and casseroles. Moreover, it now comes with a food holder which lets me safely finish slicing smaller pieces of vegetables without bringing my fingers close to the blade. That is especially helpful because the stainless steel blades on this chopper are extremely sharp. I learned that lesson the hard way with my previous unit after cutting my fingers more than once while chopping. It also includes a cleaning brush and scraper which are very useful for removing food trapped between the blades instead of trying to use your fingers. The updated design also allows the slicing insert to slide in from either direction, similar to the convenience of a USB C connector, making it ready to use quicker during meal preparation. It is a small detail but one I noticed immediately compared to the older model, and it was one of my frustrations with the previous version. Overall, this version feels more refined rather than just a cosmetic update. It has certainly reduced my meal preparation time, but I would strongly recommend handling the blades with caution because they are extremely sharp. If you prepare vegetables frequently, this is a kitchen tool that earns its place and is definitely worth the upgrade.

This thing is a game changer! Chops, dices, slices, and everything in between. Works great, seems well made, and is easy to clean. I don't know why I waited so long to get one, but when I decided to make homemade salsa for canning I knew it was time. It made the prep work fast and easy, saving me a lot of time. I highly recommend, with a word of caution: it's VERY sharp so handle with care.

Kept seeing these choppers on all my feeds and finally broke down and bought one. Super happy I did too! All the hype was right. I use this several times a week and it's not having any problems with the constant slamming during chopping veggies. It's easy and quick to change out the different inserts and the mandoline slicer is one of the best I've ever had. Storage during chopping is pretty good. It's nice you can see how full it's getting and when it needs emptied to start over. The entire thing comes apart for cleaning and you can put it in the dishwasher.

I got one of these for myself a few months ago. I use it ALL THE TIME! This is the handiest item I have ever gotten for my kitchen. It makes cutting up ingredients SO fast and easy. Especially for recipes that involve a lot of chopped veggies like soups and stews. Potato soup, which is very labor-intensive with all those little cubed potatoes, only took a few minutes to prepare. This alone made it worth the purchase. I just sent one to my son as a gift. Hope he likes it as much as I do. Word of warning. The blades are SHARP! Like scalpel sharp. Mind your fingers and don't touch them. I learned this the hard way.

Works great! Very easy ro use and efficient to swap out blades and chop vegetables! Very SHARP cutting blades. Be extremely cautious when washing, Took 2 mins to chop up a whole salad (cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, celery)! Very good quality for the price

I read other reviews and told myself not to touch the blades, my first time using it, and I decided to put my cooked garlic through it, and when I went to clear some that got into the push side, I slipped and got my finger, so a warning to others it is sharp. It works great though! I make homemade dog food for my granddogs because I can't afford the high-quality fresh food at $20 a day, when I can cook it myself for roughly $4 . When I cook this, I try to make 2 weeks at a time, and it requires a lot of chopping for garlic, sweet potato, & carrots or whatever veggies I am using that week. This tool cut my time down by about an hour. You do need to slice them down as I tried a half of a sweet potato and it got stuck. Also, it is easier to just do one slice at a time. it goes through faster and is how I cut all my veg. I can't wait to make my stews and salsa, chips, whatever else I love cooking but hate prepping. This is a very useful kitchen tool and it does not require much storage space. Just keep your fingers away from the blades as it hurts and it is one of the worst places to have a cut.
