I needed a cost-effective way to add closet doors to a bedroom in a home we are preparing to list for sale. The original doors were clumsy and heavy, so we removed them years ago. This room-wide spring tension rod was the perfect solution at a very reasonable price - sturdy and easy to install. I am 73 and I was able to install it by myself (experienced DIYer). The tension was simple to adjust, ensuring that the rod will stay securely in place no matter how those 96" panels are tugged open and closed. The panels will be altered later an inch or two so they just skim the floor. I could not be happier with this spring rod. BTW, this is RENTER FRIENDLY!

This is a great product. My wife makes quilts and she displays them on this rod and it holds a fair amount. Easy to assemble and very sturdy when fully open.

Perfect for a condo back wall with windows. Will close the curtains at night to keep people from seeing in. Easy to install and tightens on both ends. Sturdy.

I got this for my floor length living room curtains. The other rod I had was not strong enough to hold up the curtains. This rod is great, good heavy duty quality. And strong enough to hold up the floor length curtains. My reason for 4 stars is because my curtains get caught on the backside of the rod. Not a functional problem just a nuisance.

I have two sliding glass doors that have a window above them. 95 inch height. Didn’t want to have to drill holes above the doors because that leaves me with a weird height that would be too tall for 96 inch curtains and too short for 108 inch. So I went with the strong spring loaded rod. The lightweight one holding the sheers I had up before would never have held new curtains. The adjustment button helps you get the length adjusted without endless screwing the two pieces apart. I measured the space, then mostly adjusted size using the button and holes. Space it was close to your needed size as possible then use the two plastic end pieces to finalize the placement. I got it almost where I needed it, put on curtains, a heavy 100 inch wide 96 inch long blackout, and then did the final adjustments in a 71 inch space. I pull curtains open and shut and despite their weight the curtain rod is holding firm.

I bought this to put up curtains on my apartment balcony without needing to put holes in the wall/ceiling. This curtain rod has been perfect. It has held up to the weight of 4 long curtains. Once locked in place and tightened down it doesn’t budge. It’s held up great, without sliding down, bowing, or falling. I like that it is adjustable and can be shortened or lengthened by adding or removing pieces. Curtain rod was well packaged, and easy to assemble. I highly recommend and would buy again.

Have owned this for about a year now and LOVE it! Great for the patio and sprinter friendly. Tension is strong and finish is still nice.

After having this curtain rod for 4 months, I can safely say these are a good buy. Very sturdy for an extra long curtain rod. I have a heavy set of blackout curtains and these don’t bow at all. Great solution for rentals that don’t allow drilling. Just make sure your curtain loops will fit, as it is a bit wider than the average curtain rod. Also, it requires two people to assemble the larger curtain rod, so plan for that.

Love this rod. I am using it as a room divider and have pretty heavy curtains on it and it's holding up well. It's not even sagging. Easy to assemble and install even alone.

I use this on my balcony to hang curtains on in the summer to cut a bit of the super strong sun (l face south) and also to hang some of my plants on. Very well made, stable and strong. Bit tricky to put up by myself, but highly recommend.

This product is a beauty. I had to cover almost 163 inch of my window area and I was skeptical if this tension rod would be able to hold itself to the wall or not. It works PERFECTLY despite such a long width. They also give you an additional hook to balance the rod in the middle which can either be affixed with glue or with a screw [everything is included in the package] I didn't want to drill my walls to hang the curtain and thus chose this and it did the work perfectly. Very easy to install.

Solid bars. Happy with them. The ends caps rotation could use more is instructions on tightening direction. The metal node should be mark so you can find it when you loose it.
