To be honest, I now use one box for my hair and my beard. It's cheaper, easier, and has just enough goo to hit the super grey parts so that it blends nicely and doesn't look fake. Friends have told me it takes a good ten years off my look. One tip - do NOT go too dark, or it'll look super weird! Made that mistake once and had to hit it with sun and lemon juice for a few days to lighten it up a shade or two. No adverse or allergic reactions on me, and the dye washes off my skin easily even after 5 minutes.

At first I was worried because the "allergy test" they make you do on your arm stained my arm for like a month. I pictured my face under my beard being weirdly stained. But as long as you shower 15 minutes after putting it on, it blends naturally with the beard and nothing else. So naturally in fact that I went to 3 Christmas dinners and no one even noticed. They just forgot I had white hair before. It's easy to mix and put on and you get about 3 or 4 uses per box. And the best part is that I thought once my beard grew out, there would be this weird cutoff where the hair goes from brown to white. But weirdly enough the color just sort of slowly fades like normal hair color. At no point in the process does it look like I've used dye. A white beard is a blank canvas and I plan on trying different colors, but brown is exactly what I was looking for.

Pretty good product, have been using JM now for 10 yrs, works great, sadly there customer service is not good, why I gave a four star.

I've been using this Just For Men mustache/beard coloring agent for quite some time now. I figured maybe I should provide a review :) Up front honesty, I haven't used any other products for comparison. This works, so why try anything else? I actually find it clearly geared towards men that this requires measuring and mixing. I suppose you could vary the quantities of color and base for different results (?), but just following the instructions of equal parts has been just fine. Maybe if they made it like a two-part epoxy in a double chamber hypo would work, but then it'd be more expensive and not give you anything you couldn't do easily yourself. So, mix it up until the color is consistent and then brush on. Not exactly rocket science. They include a bib for the truly sloppy, but so far, any little flecks that might be scattered about are easy to wipe up if you get them before they dry. The longer you leave it on, the darker your hair will be, but it doesn't affect how long the darkening lasts...just FYI. If you're looking for a quick stark contrast, leaving it on for quite some time will get you very dark hair...Personally, I do about 5min and then wash it out. That's plenty long enough for the dye to soak into the grey hair. The color stays pretty dark for a week then begins to naturally sort of fade back to a gray salt&pepper look until after 3-4 weeks, you're essentially back to where you started. As such, I usually do an application once a month, and no one that I don't see on a daily basis is any the wiser :) I've noticed it also seems to soften the hair up a bit too, so that's a plus so far as I'm concerned. Overall, this solution works for me, and I recommend it highly for anyone who would prefer just a bit better balance of grey to 'normal' hair color in their mustache and beard.

Sorry to read that so many have experienced such severe skin reactions after using this product. I'm very allergy prone and have very sensitive skin that often reacts severely to sunscreens, shaving creams, etc., but have been using this product on my beard and sideburns 2x/week for many years witout any indication of sensitivity. Find that careful, sparing application and exact timing produce a really natural look in a very short time. Here a few things that I have found helpful: Stay exactly within the contours of your beard when applying the product. Do not wash your face for 24 hours before applying the product; the natural oils from you skin will help protect it from the dye mixture and will also minimize the amount of color the skin takes on. Also, I rub any kind of skin moisturizer into my beard and skin in the beard area an hour or so before I apply the dye. Neither the natural skin oil nor the moisturizer seem to interfere with my beard hair taking on the color and my skin is largely spared both the irritation and color up-take from the dye. And as others have suggested, use a SMALL amount of the dye mixture, brush it on LIGHTLY and experiment with leaving it on for less than the full 5 minutes recommended as maximum by the manufacturer. Most of us look more natural when our beards are "toned" toward their former colors; lighter with a little grey showing looks most natural. Also, recognize that this is NOT your wife's much gentler hair color that sits in a massive glob on her hair and scalp for an extended period of time before it's washed out. This beard coloring system was designed for men who are not willing to sit for 45 minutes with goop on their faces; it's quickness and convenience dictate that it be strong. One can't glop the stuff on ones face and beard without ending up with darkened skin and a chemical burn. Good luck!

It does great for us older guys trying to salvage our youth Only warning ... Be careful on your skin and the edges. First time I did it , I looked like DJ Khalid .. the best approach for me so you don't look strange the next day is do it before bed , take a shower . Take another shower in the morning and whatever may be on your skin should be off. The longer you leave it on the darker it gets. Dark brown almost looks black on my beard

Ich bin total zufrieden mit diesem Produkt. Endlich ist mein Problem mit 34 Jahren weiße stellen im Bart vorbei. Man kann portionsweise verwenden. Bei mir da ich nur am Kinn weiße Barthaare habe, hält die Packung für mehrere Färbungen und ca für 2 Monate. Ist ganz einfach zu mischen. Sind zwei Tuben einmal Entwickler und einmal die Farbe. Jeweils etwa eine Haselnuss große Menge auf dem gelieferten Behälter, kräftig rühren und auftragen. Das einzige was mir aufgefallen ist, dass man länger als 5 min drauf lassen muss damit die weißen Haare auch richtig eingefärbt sind. Dann einfach die Stelle waschen und fertig. Hält bis der Bart nachgewachsen ist. Ich mach es jede Woche. Benutze es schon länger und würde es nicht ohne mehr wollen. Super Produkt...

Der Allergie-Test auf der Innenseite des Unterarms verlief negativ. Dann nach Anleitung auf den Bart aufgetragen. Mein Bart ist dunkelblond mit einem leichten rotstich. Kleine graue Flächen sind auch zu sehen und genau dafür gibt es den Sterne-Abzug. Hier musste ich 2x überfärben. Beim ersten mal sah man die grauen Strähnen doch noch recht deutlich. Ansonsten ergibt es einen gleichmäßigen recht dunklen Bart, so wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Auch die Augenbrauen habe ich damit abgedunkelt. Alles ohne Probleme und OHNE Hautausschlag.

Habe das Pflege-Brush-In-Color Gel jetzt zum 5-ten mal bestellt (braunschwarz) und kann wirklich nur positives berichten. Nie Hautprobleme gehabt und man spürt tatsächlich dass der Bart nach der Färbung sich 'gesund 'anfühlt. Nicht umsonst setzte ich das gesund in Anführungszeichen, ich bezweifel dass eine Bartfärbung die optimale Gesundheitskur für den Bart ist. Aber ich denke dass ich mit dieser Variante ohne Ammoniak, den richtigen Kompromiss getroffen habe. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt wäre der Preis, wäre dieser noch etwas günstiger würde dies mich finanziell sehr erleichtern. Ansonsten ein tolles Produkt. Für alle die sich über 'gefärbte' Haut beschweren - ich appelliere euch mal die fünf Minuten, die ihr in dem Verfassen so einer beschränkten Bewertung verschwendet, mal die Gebrauchsanleitung zu lesen und euer Gehirn mal 5 Minuten einzuschalten. Es handelt sich um ein BartFÄRBEmittel, natürlich kann es bei falscher Anwendung dazu führen dass eure Haut etwas dunkel gefärbt wird? Mein Tip: Wendet eine Hautcreme, vor dem Färben, auf die Hautstellen an die ihr nicht färben wollt - dies wirkt als ein natürlicher Reflektor der wie ein Schutzschild die Farbe abhält. Ansonsten wäscht sich diese kleine Verfärbung der Haut auch nach einmal gründlichen Duschen wieder aus.
