Case is poor construction tools are OK
Iโve owned a few of these in the past. It seems as though the case is getting poor in quality. The case doesnโt hold the sockets like it should. The case has cracked in several spots after just a few uses. I sent one back some years ago because of this. It seems to be the new norm for them. The needle nose and the side players are lesser quality than ones that Iโve purchased in the past.

Good so far.
Good quality, but everything may smaller than you expect, and you need a tool to open this tool set.

Excellent value. Get one for the car.
These are excellent tools. The Crescent quality on these are better than before. I have had a set in my truck for the last 20 years that the case broke and got water in it that tore up the tools. The case is more robust on this one. Having the handle as a solid part of the case is so much better. My old case the handle broke after a couple of years. The case is pinned shut in the box. Pull really hard and the pins come out so the lock can be opened. I used a pair of side cutters to lever the pin out.

Good quality for the price
I use this set almost every day at home and at work. Very versatile and durable. Easy to transport around, but you don't wanna be rough with it because your sockets and whatnot fall out of their slots. I wish it had a regular set of pliers. The case is generally good, except for the tabs that lock/unlock the panels. They can be a pain to pry open and most times when closing the panels the tabs get caught between the case and the panels. The needle nose and wire cutters never stay in their slots. Overall, I'd recommend this tool set

Underrated
I bought this tool box in 2017, since then I have done housework, tech assembly and restored two cars, and I haven't lost anything yet, including the 10mm (truly incredible). Granted, the metal on the channel locks has a little surface rust and the handles are worn. As far as a kit to take everywhere, that's thin, durable and is a start of a tool collection? I cannot rate it highly enough. in fact, I bought my second one yesterday for my little brother so he can start gathering tools. In a comparison, I have a friends with both the DeWalt kit and a Stanley kit, and while the DeWalt has more sockets and the Stanley tools are anodized, this kit wins on shear variety of tools for me. You can take it wherever you want and you can solve most jobs with the tools you have on hand. For me, the fact that every socket and tool has a place, makes it so handy to know where everything is, making it leagues better than grandad's box of misc things. Granted. You should always supplement what you don't have. It is weird that anyone would describe a review for a tool collection as rave, but given I've had this kit this long, I've done so much with it and it's never let me down? It's the best thing I've bought on this website hands down.

Worth what I paid
Got this set with two coupons offered by Amazon. These are not super high end tools however they are very good quality for the price I paid. They definitely beat out other sets at a similar price point. My use is the travel tools in my pickup. So far no complaints.

They've gone the "Shrinkflation" route, or should I say "Qualityflation"
I have purchased this kit for myself as well as my sons in the past. This kit is almost identical, but they took out a few tools and substituted them for cheap Chinese crap. The original came with channel locks which were decent quality. This kit is missing channel locks and instead give a pair of diagonal cutters that are really cheap looking and feeling. They also used to include 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" drive ratchets and sockets. They have gotten rid of the 1/2", but they have more sockets in 3/8". I'm actually okay with that since I don't use the 1/2" drives as much. I can't tell if the case is cheaper or not because it feels the same. The problem is on the inside with the new cheap needle nose and diagonal cutters falling out everytime I open the case. Seller: can you please bring back the quality of the former kit. It really is one of the best kits available that comes in this form factor. There are other kits out there that have 4 drawer instead of the fold open portfolio style that this kit has, and I prefer this design for easier storage in the car, truck, as well as one that I store under a dresser because of its lower profile. I'll try and get some pictures of the kits side by side for those who are unfamiliar. Overall value is still good and although I'm knocking off 2 stars for "Cheapflation", I still like the kit and the price. I would definitely give 40 bucks more for better hand tools though and I hope they reconsider the cheapo tool substitution.

Great service and great starter set.

bad case
The case is the worst element of this kit, the plastic liner that holds the tools in is hollow with weak plastic, not the right shape and easily deformed.
