The sizing is different, the materials are different, and the bottom of the sandal is no longer the non slip rubber of prior years. For example: The new size 13 is 3/4” shorter in length and is 1/4”narrower. FYI: Reef was bought out in 2018. This is precisely when quality dropped and they thought nobody would notice other than their share holders! **Q: Is this for one sandal or a pair of sandals?** A: You actually end up recieving 3 sandals. When you buy a pair, they include a free ambidextrous sandal. If you lose one then the extra will fit either foot. Talk about forward thinking! Just WOW! **Q: How long is size 11? Hubby needs a new pair, but can't remember what size he has.** A: I’d suggest buying at least 1-size larger than your shoe size. If you have flat/wide feet you might even need to go up two full sizes. Around 2018 Reef was bought out and it appears that size adjustments were made. For example, a size 13 is now 1/4” narrower and 3/4” shorter in length than they were 4+ years ago! I thought either Amazon sent the wrong size or that I had ordered the wrong size…nope! Invoice, stickers and labels all indicate a size 13. **Q: Will these fly off my feet? Will I have to grip them with my toes every time I take a step?** A: I can't honestly answer this as I have opposable big toes. My toes naturally grip these bad boys like a monkey foot grips a vine while climbing. My husband loves the bottle opener on the bottom of the sandals. It's his favorite part of the sandal. The color was great, well made overall. I will note that this partuclar style from REEF is heavy, it drives me nuts that my husband grips his toes when whe wears these sandals, but he loves them because of that darn bottle opener. So Id' say walk ability is maybe 3/5 for that reason. These aren't super cushioning, but more of a firm rubber with minimal arch support. Tons of color options. If you are looking for a men's sandal with style, this is it.
