Brilliant Smart Dimmer Switch (White) — Compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, Hue, LIFX, SmartThings, TP-Link, Wemo and More

I really enjoy the Brilliant product line of home automation components. Although the price is a little higher, it is ABSOLUTELY the best choice! It is very easy to set up with App and gives you control of your home. Additionally, it will connect to many other home automation products made by others giving you true integration and control of your systems. I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

Installation was simple and quick. The hardest part was navigating my terribly labeled breaker box to find the right switch! I had the whole install done in less than ten minutes while installing by myself, and it works like a charm. The Alexa compatibility is nice, and I set up a fun little routine as you can see in the video. It looks nice on the wall too!

I was attracted to the idea for having multiple smart screens connected to my SmartThings hub with my zwave lights, locks, Sonos system and ring cameras. I added two Brilliant controllers, one in my open concept family room and the other in the master bathroom. Both work without flaws, and provide the ability of merging all my smart devices in and create unique scenes. Ring cameras are visible anytime someone’s at the front door and I can see, hear and talk through the controllers very bright and sharp screen. If you are looking for an additional controller with an amazing bright screen, Brilliant Controllers are a great choice! On the other hand, the optional dimmer switches, look great and had the slick looking non toggle appearance I wanted. But these are not zwave and only connect via Bluetooth to your Brilliant controllers, not your smartthings hub. I found these to be difficult to connect, and in some cases they failed right out of the box and would freeze up. 70% failed. So I will stay with zwave dimmer’s and switches, connected with smartthings and use the Brilliant controllers in a few strategic locations around the home. The Brilliant support team was prompt and helpful to check and confirm that the wiring was completed correctly, but after numerous failures, offered no solution other than replacement of one of the dimmers. So this was an expensive experiment. I suggested to the Brilliant support team for improving the current dimmer or add a new line with zwave options with the slick looking style.

I bought a 3 switch Control and a Switch. I’m impressed with the control and love the display. The only real problems I had happened when I installed the switch. I wish I had a better understanding how the old switch was wired, it would have saved me a lot of time. Configuring the switch was also more complicated than I expected. It integrates well with other products (Ring Doorbells). Overall, love the product and everything it can do but be prepared for the complex installation and configuration

I am loving the Controllers and switches. I have a controller & switch setup as a 3 way works great. The other controller in my bedroom I use as a quick way to view my ring cameras around house. the Connection to my Sonos system is just way to cool. Have plans for many more. ( side note: If your not happy with yours please send it back to amazon so I can get a discount on it. lol)

We love the brilliant system and switches. Being able to control with your phone or through voice is a game changer. A little adjustment needed to not have a typical switch but love it!

With this Smart Dimmer Switch we never have to leave our bed again! Running off a Bluetooth mesh network allows us to control our light right from our phones! I love how you’re able to dim your lights or completely turn them off from the comforter of your bed or any room in your house. This is a life changer! You will not be disappointed

The Brilliant line of products I wanted so much to like but the limited functions and irritating flaws leave these "smart" switches undesirable. As I wright this, a light controlled by these motion detecting devices constantly goes off and on while no motion is happening anywhere near them. I've waited more than a year to write this review and I've consulted Billiant support several times; even got a replacement device. These devices have a mind of their own it seems because they do not obey the extremely limited app that drives them. I have a single gang display smart switch controller also which I will review on that device, but these are controlled by that. FYI, you cannot make changes to any Brilliant device or setting through the app, you MUST use the controller on the wall. Pull up a chair if your tall because you'll be there awhile. The brand name should be just the opposite, Stupid. I have an entire house of smart devices all controlled by Home Assistant but these devices will not interface with HA.

Love the design and functionality. But need to have one larger model with display on your network.

Switch isn’t standalone, it requires a Brilliant Bridge switch in order to pair and be used with Phillips Hue. Wasn’t clear in the ad, so I returned it without issue. Nice looking, too bad it wasn’t standalone.
