Good but fiddly.
I got this to replace an other Panasonic radio alarm I had for decades so hope as long lasting. The radio good, and so is the options to have two alarm stored settings, and the time setting via DAB a great function incase of power cuts or the change of the clocks going forwards and back an hour in the UK.But the downside the alarm is very fiddly to set, with my old alarm if I had it set at 7.10 and wanted to get up 15 minute earlier I could just press on button to go backwards this you can only go forwards so have to go round the clock with the hour button and then the minute button and that's not that easy and some times set but by not going though the correct sequence the new alarm time not been saved. The buttons are flat with the top so operating from the bed you can very often press the wrong buttons. The display is very large and even on the lowest setting lights the room slightly, so the room will not be fully dark at night.

Not a quality item
Very disappointed with this item. Yes it is a clock radio with DAB and FM radio, but I expected a better quality product from Panasonic for this price. The initial impression is that it is a cheap plastic box with radio functions. It does work well but is nowhere close to being a quality product.

Disappointed
Bought this to replace Sandstrom DAB clock radio. The Sandstrom had 4 snooze levels (5, 10, 15 and 30 mins) alarm setting for weekdays, weekends and every day. This Panasonic- £25 more expensive- is very basic. Alarm can only be set for every day so woken up at weekends, only 1 snooze setting - 5 minutes each time - and it is very loud. Too loud. My Sandstrom snooze broke hence new clock. Wished I had returned it but box in bin.

Good bedside radio but still too many presses for sleep
I bought this bedside radio as part of my many years of attempting to find a radio with a very simple “sleep” (not snooze) function. I don’t care about alarms etc. I just want to press the minimum number of buttons in the middle of the night in the dark without disturbing my wife too much.So far this is the closest I have got. But you still have to press the button for the radio to come on, then press another for sleep. The first press of the sleep button gives …. Wait for it ….. zero minutes. The second press gives 30 minutes which does for me. So three presses to get half an hour of radio, not to mention the volume adjustment.Worth noting that the buttons will be hard to find in the dark so I have stuck tiny little rubber legs on the ones I need.If you can beat 3 presses I would be happy to know.EDIT - after a few weeks of use I have downgraded the radio to three stars. First, even the darkest screen setting lights up the bedroom. I have cut a piece of perspective to reduce the light. Also the radio volume is adjusted with buttons. I find the increments too large so the radio is either too loud or too quiet.

Good value, but not up to usual Panasonic's standard
I bought the Panasonic RC-D8 as part of Amazon's Prime Day. I bought it because of my positive experience with Panasonic product and the need of a DAB clock radio. It works fine as a clock radio. However it has a number of down sides. I would not have been able to get this set up if it wasn't for the instructions sheet and a bit of luck. The software underpinning the clock isn't intuitive and a bit sluggish, as others noted it makes it tricky to set. The backlight on the LCD clock as a blueish tinge that keeps me awake at night. The device was definitely made down to a price rather than made up to Panasonic quality. The cable is hardwired in rather than having a figure of 8 socket on the back of the clock. The plastic feels cheap. The display would have been better with a simple VFD or OLED display.

Unusable item
Cannot use as it has an English plug. Waste of money as I live in Australia.
