And where would you put carbon in this filter.** A: I have this on my 30 gallon tank. I also have two aquaclear 70s on that tank too. One holding a small sponge and purigen. The other holding my my pothos plants. Not familiar with the 2275 though **Q: Which way is on for the new "range extender" function? I did not see it mentioned any where in the manual. Thnx.** A: The Range Xtender feature is not really discussed in the manual all that well, in terms of exactly how it works. That being said, the references in the manual are:Page 8, Heading 2, Component Overview - listed as Range Xtender Knob -- this is the grey knob on he top of the unit that appears as though it would increase flow via the pump, but it's actually the range Xtender feature that is referenced as a button elsewhere.Page 7, Heading "English", end of first paragraph: By the newly developed Xtender function, the cleaning interval of the filter media can be delayed for a short time if required.These are the only references in the manual (in English). My advice would be to not rely on this feature and to clean/replace the media as necessary.
