I see a lot of reviews from females, is it good for male boys to take?

The reason you see a disproportionate amount of reviews from women is because women tend to have anemia or low often more than men due to menstrual-related heavy bleeding, caused by medical issues such as fibroids or endometriosis. In fact, this product is very popular in fibroid recovery support groups (how I heard of it). However, it's not specifically formulated for women, it's just an effective product for low iron.

How long to bring iron levels up?

I had to stop using this product because the iron constipated me.
