The HD in the Lacie d2 is an Enterprise Seagate Ironwolf Pro HD which is used in many NAS units and carries a 5 year warranty. The Lacie d2 at 16 TB is the largest single external HD that one can purchase today that is a 7200 rpm enterprise HD.
