Can this be used in an office under a rolling chair?

I wouldn't recommend putting any weight on this stuff. It's leaves an indentation wherever weight has pushed into it after some time. Especially if you are sitting in a chair and rolling over top of it. It will definitely end up ripping and looking bad after a couple of days.

is this squishy? or hard?

It’s in the middle. It gives a little sort of like a foam knee board. I did half my basement with it for a play area for my son. I love them!
