I’ve been researching backpacks to take our cat on walks with us. He loves being outside with us wearing his harness and leash. Or sitting on our covered, enclosed patio. We set up the pack and let him explore. He jumped right in. He had zero issues with having his harness clipped to the safety belt. He sits down and chills and looks out the mesh windows. We also leave the top, front facing mesh panel open in case he wants to pop up and look out. He’s starting to do that a bit more as he gets more comfortable on our walks. He’s on my back and we walk my dog around the neighborhood. Now he expects to go on all the walks with us! Sadly, it’s only once a day. I love how there are many pockets, it expands, has a safety belt feature, and Velcro is there to hold the mesh for the top panel to keep it away and the window open. It’s well made and priced right. We’re glad we have purchased it and hope to get a lot of use out of it.

This backpack is great, so I bought 2! My cats have plenty of room in it, & it's nice & secure. It's very breathable with all the mesh & has quite a few pockets, which are large enough to hold their harnesses & leashes, along with some food & treats, & my keys. I do wish it had a mesh pocket on the side for a bottle of water. I also love that it has clasps for across your chest, making it much more comfortable to wear. I'm a larger person, so the straps around the waist don't fit me. But it's quite comfortable to wear & I love that I can now take my cats on walks around the neighborhood & get them used to the sounds of traffic. Or, have a safe place for them, when taking them on walks, or they get tired, or we encounter dogs, especially unleashed dogs (though that's not as often, it does happen). I also love the expandable portion, so they can fully stretch & lay out if they choose. It's also breaks down pretty flat for storage, as well, & sets up very easy & quickly. This was definitely worth the money & I see us getting lots if use out of the backpacks!

I use this as an inside home for my little kit to sleep in , car transportation , hikes and general walks outside and camping. The foldout section so that there’s more space is so genius , my cat loves to have a safe space to sleep in at home and when in the car or camping. He got used to it quickly and the extra little clip hooks on all the zippers makes it so easy to attach his leash or harness to keep him secure or let him roam without worrying about him. He has learned to use it to stand on my shoulders on hikes and will jump into it when he gets lazy and doesn’t want to walk. If you ever feel guilty about having an indoor cat , take him on a walk, even just a walk down the road to get the mail or when you take out your dog , an easy way to let your cat explore is in this bag. It feels very comfortable to wear for hours while carrying him and the waist and chest straps are all perfectly adjustable making it easy to take on and off. He has scratched a bit on the sides yet there is no damage to the bag, it’s a sturdy product I highly recommend

Excellent product for flying with a cat. My cat had room to move around and the small fold out tunnel gave him time to get use to our destination housing. He was able to sniff out the bedroom before I let him out. Great purchase. I will advice to get a middle or window to accommodate your pet under the front seat. Start by pointing the top part of the carrier toward the plane window and then turn carrier to slide under the seat. The 2 side pockets were perfect for a small bag of food, a few treats, poop bags, and wipes. My cat weighs 9 pds

Very large when opened up and a good all purpose pet carrier.

Our 10 lbs puppy did pretty well in this overall. The week before our flight, we left it out and would periodically throw some training treats inside to build a positive association with it. It was a tight fit for both of us. If I had wanted to put the whole thing under the seat in front of us, I would have had to lay it on its side, which would leave her without the padded base to lay on. So instead, I sacrificed leg room (see picture) to put her at my feet upright and expand the back of the carrier under the seat in front of us to give her more room and so I could comfort her when she was scared. Overall sturdy, considering the frame needs to be flexible enough to squish into tight spaces. Pockets were critical since most airlines don't permit more than one large carry on item. I covered the bottom with a puppy pad cut in half, so that I could easily clean up in case of potty accidents or motion sickness. Only thing I hadn't considered is that some planes run a/c under the seats and on one flight she was shivering cold until I found a tshirt to use as a blanket. Overall happy with the purchase.

It's bigger than a traditional carrier, and it's easier to secure to the seats with seatbelts. My cat enjoys going on outings and short rides now. Carrier is well made and durable. Will update if any changes.
