Those who complained about improper fit almost certainly did not order the correct case for the phone they owned. The plastic inner frame provides a stable attachment base for the rubber shroud. The rubber IS the same soft rubber you’re used to from all of the Defender cases you’ve used over the years. The fit is perfect, all buttons and features are accessible and it’s Otterbox tough. It is screen-less. I bought the - OtterBox Performance Plus Glass Series Screen Protector for iPhone 12 Pro Max - Clear - and it too fits perfectly with NO edge interference. I have a wireless charger that charges the phone just fine with the case installed. My opinion, this is the best case money can buy. Yes, it’s expensive… but this is a $1000+ phone.
