This shadow detector is equipped with a motion pir sensor. the motion sensor can sense movement up to 40 feet away. To verify the shadow movement, the shadow detector wasn't enough, but with the motion sensor, if any mass is detected with the laser, and both leds comes on, its a good chance that it has just seen the shadow move. And with a camera behind the detector, you should have cought the entity. Note: All returns will be examined by our claim department, and if you did not make a claim prior to returning to us, reguardless if product works or not, you will only recieve an 80% refund. If you have made a claim and the product does not work because of our workmanship, or parts, then you will recieve a full refund. If you filed a claim, and we find the item works perfectly, then you will receive full purchase price, minus shipping. The product was cheap and gimicky. For the price, it wasn't worth it. I can see how it would work in absolutely perfect conditions but that's hard to set up.
