It folds up nicely and the flared end fits inside the folded sluice box for easy storage and transportation. It is easy to set up and works perfectly! I am very happy with my sluice fox. A: Does not come in a bag and no it all does not fit in the sluce but does come with a strap for carrying

**Q: What are the dimension of the box when folded up?**
A: 13" x 8"

**Q: Does it lock in the open position so it can span between boulders without colapsing?**
A: tighten the wingnuts to keep it stable.

I was so excited when I opened the box, everything came nicely packed. I love how they put protective plastic all around sluice. Everything came perfectly, only thing I would say is take the bag out of the picture. I got this because I thought it came with the bag to carry the folded sluice box to make it easy to carry while hiking. Easy to assemble, reliability is perfect for the mission at hand, size was as described. Very happy with my purchase overall happy hunting to all. I finally put it to use first I never received a back pack that fits the sluice which it states above it should have came with one!!! When I used in the creek the padding on the opening of the sluice came right off & down the creek it went. It was glued on not so well especially to be put in water. At first I was so excited when I got it everything else was fine. But I never received the backpack & also the mat that got lost in the creek because it was not on well enough. Other than that it did the job I needed it to do.
