Better than OEM! Super solid and fixed my door 100%. 2002 Sienna.
This should be your first place to fix the issue of the cable seeming to stretch out, even if the old handle is not snapped broken. Worn down OEM handles will fail to open the door even if not fully snapped apart inside. The plastic in the OEM and other aftermarket handles flexes too much and makes it hard to get a full pull on the release cable. Eventually the plastic wears out so much the door will refuse to open because there isn't enough cable being pulled. The issue is actually NOT that cable stretching, and just a matter of worn out handle parts. Mine fit in just fine with no alignment issues on a 2002 Sienna. If you are having alignment issues, just send it back for another copy and it might be a good fit. Seems to be a little variation in tolerances. I did have to bend the spot that holds the release cable in place so the two sides were a tiny bit closer together. If the cable is too far pulled out when the handle is at resting position, the door will not unlock because the door latch will block it from operating if the handle/cable are pulled too tight. By shortening the amount of cable pulled out to attach it to the handle, mine now locks and unlocks. I can notice the massive difference in stiffness with the all-metal handle over the OEM ones. It's an instant engagement with the release cable. The OEM handle could just barely release at the end of the handle travel when it was working. I might feel comfortable putting the large door panel back on now that I don't have to crawl back and release it by hand when it gets stuck like before.

Tailgate handle
Good fit for my 04 sequoia. Only problem i had was the bolt brackets had to be bent out slightly to fit, like they were either bent in shipping or misfire during manufacturing. Otherwise spot on. Hopefully it holds up better than the factory one.

Built better than OEM
Reasonably priced and well built. In fact built better than the one from the factory that came new in the car, the OEM one from the factory was plastic, imagine that, something that gets a lot of use and that you have to pull on to open the tailgate is made out of plastic! This will outlast the car! Happy with the outcome, installation was doable, but certainly not easy, I saved $600 though so it was worth the struggle. It wasn’t hard to understand, but working in an awkward position and having big hands never helps, very doable though for someone with basic knowledge and tools.

Garbage
Total garbage. It looked like the original but after I spent 2 hours installing and trying to figure out why when I locked the rear hatch it wouldn't open...I finally figured out that the space between the cable connector and where the cable housing attached was too far apart, which would stretch the cable too far and not allow the lock mechanism to unlock. When I tried to adjust it to work the metal broke. DO NOT BUY!

Installed this 6/2024 fit perfectly
Ordered all metal version. Was originally going to use my original metal frame and swap the handle (like others have) but upon inspection the metal frame was same thickness/bolt spacing so there was no need to do that. Bolted in easily and only change I made was bending the tab that holds the cable ball end in place. Opening was larger than I liked probably would have worked fine. Has been working great daily for over month. This isn’t cheapest one but has good reviews and fast prime delivery. If it breaks or fails I will come back and update.
