I would buy it again if I ever need it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good... but could use some revising *by B***G on May 13, 2013* Barron's and Princeton Review are about the only two notable companies who make books for AP review... and this year Barron's was the only one who fixed their book to reflect parts of the revised Ap Biology test. They have done a good job of doing so and making sure that their text reflects the major ideas of the new test. Some people have complained that this is not good enough or that it is incomplete, but frankly, for a book made by a third party who is not acutely aware of how the exam will actually look, Barron's has done a good job. It covers all the material you need for the test (specifics, as well.), and this is especially helpful for students who have somewhat or fully incompetent teachers (as was the case with me). It's arguably more worthwhile than Campbell Biology, to be honest. This book combined with bozemanbiology (who has become the keystone for many ap biology students) is a great resource for information. I have done all four of the tests included in this book (two in text and two on the disk), and the result explanations are good. However, the explanations fail to have the detail necessary to really understand why a certain answer is what it is, unlike the Princeton Review books for history, etc. My only qualm about these tests is that the questions are a little too similar, with similar/ the same diagrams, and with questions which are either the same or are just somewhat modified in answers or phrasing. However, they are well-constructed tests which appear to reflect the new exam. My only other complaint is the typos. It may seem minor and unimportant, but this problem is an issue for two reasons. Firstly, it makes the book seem unprofessional and somewhat amateurish, which is just downright annoying. Secondly, it can affect the answers they give you. Today, I practiced a grid in which gave me an answer that confused me because the decimal was placed in the wrong position, which completely altered the way that I read the question. Overall, the book was helpful, but it's still unclear exactly HOW helpful it will be. EDIT: I received my score, and I got a 4 on the test. Mind you, this was after hours and hours of pre-AP prep.
