Was transferring propane to Coleman bottles using one of those short adapters with no valve. It worked okay. But I bought some FlameKing bottles and decided to get this adapter as well. It's much easier to work with and is much more exact in the quantity you transfer. Well worth the price and highly recommend.

I use this to refill the small Flame King bottles. It works exactly as described. The lever valve makes it easy to start and stop the filling process, no fumbling with a knob. The indexing system is flawed though; the tab is a tiny piece of plastic and will eventually break off, and there is no visual indicator where the tab is. And since it is free to spin around, it can be anywhere. You literally have to look upside-down "under" the connector to see where it is. And if you don't line it up correctly, it still attaches but either smashes the tab, or doesn't fill. Once you learn how to use it, it's fine, but the design is flawed.

So quick and easy to do this safely. Wish I knew about this earlier. Got this with 2 of their tanks. Agree with other review, can see that the allen key will get lost in short time but that'd be on me.

Well built and works as it should ! filled 4 flame king 1 lb tanks and refilled one so far ! No Problems! Lack of instructions might be a problem , but we have you tube to help

My husband bought this for himself last year and he likes it so much he had me order one for our son. It works much better than other valves he has tried for refilling. Great price and very efficient product.
