is this built to handle a TOUGH deck scrubbing mob? instead of power wash?

I used it for my composite deck. Unfortunately, the brush is small. It took a while to scrub the whole deck. I bought another one so next time, I’ll have someone to help scrub while I do

How long are the bristles?

Without going to actually MEASURE them, I'd say approximately 4 inches. (Bristles are course for scrubbing; not soft like a broom). I used it to scrub my deck before sealing it. It worked great! No need to get on my hands & knees. Held up well.

Has anyone treated the inside of the handle to prevent rust? Mine was dripping rusty water during the first use.

It shouldn't be rusting if its new. I would return it. I have used and abused one of mine and it is still in great shape.

Can this be used on a composite deck level like Trex?

I'll be using it with the pressure washer on the side of the camper and house. I don't see any reason you couldn't use on a deck.
