I'll admit I got it for myself (no kids involved) to use at home because I liked the idea of a bigger case for better grip. The texture is nice and has decent grip, hard to drop. The handle is also nice on that front. Definitely adds a lot of bulk which makes it harder to fit in a backpack or whatever, so I do have another "regular" case I use when I need to take my iPad with me. But it's great for home use! Easy to remove and put the iPad back in, as well, if you want to use different cases (like me) or just need to clean it or whatever (?). Review: Gave new life to my old iPad Pro - Sometimes it's amazing how you can spend $500 on a toy and have an okay experience. But then you buy some random thing for $30 and it just blows you away and changes your life. I ordered this because I needed a mildly rugged case for working with my iPad on technical projects outside. This isn't, of course, a fully ruggedized case like Otterbox but it's good enough for my purposes. What I didn't anticipate is how much more useful it would make my iPad compared to the very basic clear case I was using. The iPad Pro is a large device, and physically handling it requires attention and care. I use it in bed and worry about it slipping off the bed, for example. The handle on this case is awesome - just grab it and go to another room - and I'm using the device around the house more. The handle gives some flexible options in terms of bracing and leaning it. The rubber seems like it could take some real shocks, but what's also nice is that it's very grippy, so it is less likely to slide compared to hard plastic. By now you probably think I'm insane to be gushing about a slightly obnoxious-appearing children's iPad case, but I really do love it, including it's inflated look and blue color I chose. With his obsession with simplicity and clean lines, Steve Jobs is probably rolling over in his grave given what I did to his iPad. So, sorry Steve. ## Features - The Official Cooper Dynamo Case: Unparalleled child-proof iPad Pro 12.9 case; resilient EVA foam, shockproof, drop-proof, with a raised bezel for screen safety; screen protector included; vibrant colors for kids - Tailored iPad Pro 12.9 Case for Kids (1st/2nd Gen): Exclusively designed for 2017 iPad Pro 12.9 2nd Generation and 2015 iPad Pro 12.9 1st Gen; a versatile solution for elderly, infants, toddlers, autism, special needs - Multifunctional Design: Incorporates a large, grip-friendly Magic Handle for limited mobility that converts into a 2-angle stand; integrated pencil holder; full access to all buttons, ports, and cameras - USA Certified, Safe & Tested 🇺🇸: Non-toxic, free from lead and harmful chemicals; iPad Pro case 12.9-inch compliant with CPSIA & ASTM regs; hassle-free 3-step installation process - Why Cooper Cases: "Made Sincerely" since 2012; at Cooper Cases, we pride ourselves on our original designs that meet the evolving needs of modern tech users - Avoid Return Hassles: This tablet case only fits iPad models, A1670 A1671 A1821 A1584 A1652 so please check model # at the back of your iPad to confirm ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B018QSEI46 | | Additional Features | Heavy Duty Protection, Kickstand, Screen Protector, Stylus Holder, Swivel Handle | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,693 in Tablet Cases | | Brand | COOPER | | Built-In Media | Screen Protector, Tablet Case | | Color | Licorice Black | | Compatible Device Size Maximum | 12.9 inches | | Compatible Devices | Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (1st generation, 2015), Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd generation, 2017) | | Compatible Phone Models | A1670 A1671 A1821 A1584 A1652 | | Compatible Tablet Computer Models | Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st generation), Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation) | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 4,183 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Ethylene Vinyl Acetate | | Form Factor | Case | | Item Dimensions | 11.1 x 10.2 x 0.9 inches | | Item Type Name | iPad Case | | Manufacturer | Cooper Cases | | Material | Ethylene Vinyl Acetate | | Mfr Part Number | CPR105BLK129 | | Model Number | CPR105BLK129 | | Pattern | Solid | | Shell Type | Soft | | Theme | Electronics | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 year manufacturers warranty | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** COOPER - **Color:** Licorice Black - **Compatible Devices:** Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (1st generation, 2015), Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd generation, 2017) - **Form Factor:** Case - **Shell Type:** Soft ## Images ![Official Cooper Dynamo Kids iPad Pro 12.9 Case for 1st/2nd Generation (2015/2017) | Unbreakable Protection, Magic Handle, Stand & Pencil Holder (NOT for 2018-2022 3rd-6th Gen) (Licorice Black) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71NoPvqaUNL.jpg) ![Official Cooper Dynamo Kids iPad Pro 12.9 Case for 1st/2nd Generation (2015/2017) | Unbreakable Protection, Magic Handle, Stand & Pencil Holder (NOT for 2018-2022 3rd-6th Gen) (Licorice Black) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81NFLuzxuKL.jpg) ![Official Cooper Dynamo Kids iPad Pro 12.9 Case for 1st/2nd Generation (2015/2017) | Unbreakable Protection, Magic Handle, Stand & Pencil Holder (NOT for 2018-2022 3rd-6th Gen) (Licorice Black) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71FqBplcPnL.jpg) ![Official Cooper Dynamo Kids iPad Pro 12.9 Case for 1st/2nd Generation (2015/2017) | Unbreakable Protection, Magic Handle, Stand & Pencil Holder (NOT for 2018-2022 3rd-6th Gen) (Licorice Black) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71nLUn5NJPL.jpg) ![Official Cooper Dynamo Kids iPad Pro 12.9 Case for 1st/2nd Generation (2015/2017) | Unbreakable Protection, Magic Handle, Stand & Pencil Holder (NOT for 2018-2022 3rd-6th Gen) (Licorice Black) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71TjDCoHN3L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: does it have slot for ipencil?** A: Don’t think so, I couldn’t even get it on my iPad Pro...... in fact, 3 other adults have attempted with no success. Do not recommend for iPad Pro. Bought one for iPad 2 & it worked great, so was very disappointed that it didn’t fit the pro. **Q: How deep (front to back of kick-stand) is the base when kickstand is in landscape view? i want it to be secure on my kitchen window sill w/o falling** A: depending on you window seal trim, but if it is standard you will have enough room. But it is right around 3.5" front to back. **Q: if the pencil is in the slot, will it charge?** A: I did not use a pencil with my case but the charging port is on the bottom so in my opinion the pencil should not having any barrings on he the iPad charges. **Q: Have you released your new model for the A1670?** A: Yes ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Durable and sturdy to protect against drops! *by C***A on April 4, 2023* Great case; it's harder to find good ones for older models of iPad but this one fits great and is plenty durable, providing plenty of protection against drops. The best investment as a college student. *by A***R on July 18, 2018* I’m a college student and needed a case that is affordable, durable, and light. This case has it all! Extremely light even when having the iPad Pro 12.9 inch mounted in it. I have tempered glass installed for screen protection, so there is no need for a screen cover. As a trade, I get quick access to the screen when needed ( don’t have to flip open the case to use the screen). The final point is the Apple Pencil holder. The slot for the pencil is just right ( not too loose nor too rigid) and it is safe to put the pencil there. I’ve used the same style of case for an older iPad for years before upgraded to the iPad Pro and it never disappointed me. The previous case still stays the same til the day I gave it away. I am not rough with my devices, but I like the care free feeling of knowing that it will be protected, that way I can allow myself to be more productive with this size of an iPad. You will not regret your purchase if you are not into the slim looks. ## Frequently Bought Together - Official Cooper Dynamo Kids iPad Pro 12.9 Case for 1st/2nd Generation (2015/2017) | Unbreakable Protection, Magic Handle, Stand & Pencil Holder (NOT for 2018-2022 3rd-6th Gen) (Licorice Black) - JETech Screen Protector for iPad Pro 12.9-Inch (2015/2017 Model, 1st/2nd Generation), Tempered Glass Film --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.dk/products/23093995-official-cooper-dynamo-kids-ipad-pro-12-9-case-1st](https://www.desertcart.dk/products/23093995-official-cooper-dynamo-kids-ipad-pro-12-9-case-1st) --- *Product available on Desertcart Denmark* *Store origin: DK* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
