Great, stays sharp for me. Got send product with different handle though.
Love the knife, it's keeping sharp after 1 month of constant use. some people said that it's too light, I find it a solid weight in my hand, but I'm small. A little upset though that they did not send me the product as advertised. The handle was different. I was expecting the handle in the image, a soft curve at the end with a black handle. What I received is a way more curved/pointy end of the handle with a grey dot in it. The color is fine, but the curve does not lay in my hand the way I wanted it. I'll keep it, because overall it's a good knife. I do get upset though that I constantly get other products than what is advertised from Amazon. I guess that's just an amazon thing.

Great Knife!
These knives are wonderful. Well made and always sharp. They slice through raw meat as if it were butter. I like them so much that I bought my son some and he said they are “awesome” too.

Great for little, adult hands and travelers that cook on the road. Suggestions included, too.
I have small hands and have ITP (low platelets - the clotting factor in one's blood), so safety and ease for ME is extra important. Plus with always traveling and cooking on the road, a fancy knife set with its storage stand would take up too much room, be not as safe and secure, and is simply unnecessary. The cover: Easy and safe for storing Easy and safe for removable aka for cooking Sturdy Not paper thin. Includes sharpener built in It makes a little noise when inserting and removing the knife, which I like for extra heads for extra safety for traveling with it. I cook on the road. Knife Pros: Good size for those of us with little hands. Cuts well and easily without being super razor sharp. I was able to use it to cut off braided hook attachments of my back seat cover in my wagon super easily and quickly and then still use it for chopping up veggies (after a good wash, of course). Suggestions: A stainless steel handle would be better for the usual stainless reasons. A handle cover that is say made of silicon for ease in being washed easily, for color choices, for comfort and nicer handle gripping and knife handling. I'd like to see blade covers offered in different colors for different cutting decisions - veggies that's okay for both my Medical Alert Service dog and me, veggies that is only good for me, meat, other cooking uses, and then even one for household use (I.e. Cutting off straps that simply not needed/wanted anymore.)

Stays sharp; fits perfectly in my hand
I love this knife. I have had it for six months using on a tempered glass cutting board and haven't had to manually sharpen it. It fits perfectly in my hand and doesn't slip.

Sharpest knife in the drawer
This is by far the sharpest knife in the drawer. It's almost scary sharp. It sharpens itself every time you put it in the sheath, it's pretty ingenious really. But really you should see what it can do to a tomato

Great value!
I really enjoy using a Santoku knife. I found this one has a nice balance, I really love the shelf sharpening cover the covers the blade, the value was great. Cleaning is a breeze and a brand that I am familiar with.

It's an inexpensive Santoku but I don't love it
It's an inexpensive all-purpose prep knife, but don't expect too much. That's the problem with buying online, there's no way to get a sense of something like this without seeing and touching it in person. I've been buying 5" and 7" Santoku knives, and 6" and 8" chef knives for some time now. I know good knives. If you're looking for a diamond in the rough kind of knife, this ain't it. Once I picked it up and tested it I kind of knew right away. The problem I have with this knife is the overall cheapness of materials. It feels like a discount department store knife, OK, but nothing to brag about. Questionable quality stamped steel, and a very cheap plastic handle, not good. As for slicing, it's OK, but you won't be amazed or scared by sharp it is. I guess it's sharp enough, but that's about it, and that's only because it's brand new. The carbon steel sharpener built into the protective sheath cover makes it convenient, but I'm not sure how effective it is in practice. They say hand wash only, that's fine, but it's not as if you're trying to protect an expensive German or Japanese knife. I think you can tell I don't care for it much. I find it a little boring (sounds weird, huh). It's not that it's horrible, I just have so many better options in my drawer and I don't enjoy using it. I'm kind of done testing it and it's going to get demoted from the regular silverware drawer. I'll probably give it to a family member, they'll like it, they're not picky about their kitchen knives.

There are sharper knives and similar sizes in different brands with better steel. The idea is budget and longevity which this offers. The knife removal instructions need a bit more clarity. Push/hold/draw opposite of the sharpener and towards yourself is not quite what the package details but it works. Bonus of the sharpener in removing that task for those who only focus on cooking and neglect sharpening a knife for safety. Additionally it becomes a safety lock for children. The edge is sharp and the knife does not buckle horribly when cutting due to a shorter blade focusing one's force closer to the back and middle of the knife where people naturally align the blade with food. For the 5 inch version it is a good knife.

Sharp. Thin and bendy. Light. Santoku is questionable. Avoid ..there are better in the market. If they make it it little heavier snd thicker. It should sell well.
