If you're looking to print anything other than pla them this isn't for you. It's a fine basic hot end. I've gone through a bunch of them as they are cheap to replace if you have an issue. **Q: What size screw goes through the heat sink into the carriage?** A: Well I checked on my Ender 3v2 and it is a M3 x 16 screw that has a rounded head and a small lock washer on it. There appears to be plenty of room that the M3 screws without the lower profile rounded head should work as well. **Q: what's the max temperature?** A: Around 220°C. I've pushed it to 230°C but the output wasn't good. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Completely blown away! *by A***G on August 23, 2023* I have had my Creality Ender 3 Pro for over 2 1/2 years and this my first hot end replacement. When I first purchased my Ender 3, I had also bought an upgrade from the one that originally came with the printer. From the start I had problems upon problems with first hot end. Everything from clogged nozzle to Z height adjustments, filament breaking in the hot end, even clogged hot end itself (not nozzle). For the past week I had to clear out two clogged nozzles even having to manually push the filament until it was able to slip past the clog.Eventually I had enough and bought this hot end. Right out of the box (Creality packaging) I was impressed. The biggest feature that stood out was the pneumatic coupler on the hot end itself! However, the next feature I liked was the filament tube when inserted goes in deep all the way through the cooling fin block. The filament has a short travel to the nozzle which will also eliminate clogging as well. The removal and re-install of the new hot end took about an hour, with the usual feeding the wires through the mesh tubing. I found if you tape the ends of the wires together it will slide/move easier through the mesh tubing. I also took the time to inspect all the connections to the mother board and tightened wire connections and ensured plastic connectors were also seated/secured properly. Buttoned up everything, zip tied the wires, etc..Fired up the printer, bed leveled, and started a print. BANG! No hesitation, smooth and the filament laid down perfectly. I didn't have to adjust the Z height access, lucked out I guess lol. Is the the best top of the line hot end? No, but it is a drastic improvement to my old hot end by a long shot. I have found that while we all shop by price, even the most expensive top of the line doesn't mean it is better, the exact opposite. I gave this new hot end 5 stars right out of the gate because of the immediate performance improvement! I like the fact the unit was preassembled (plug and play basically.) The dimensions were spot on and the build quality was immediately apparent!! Thanks to all the reviewers who's reviews helped me to decide on purchasing this hot end. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just buy it. *by N***3 on July 3, 2025* Direct swap. No leaks. No issues at all and it fixed my clogging/under extruding/extruder skip problems. My printer hasn't run this good since it was new. Someone left a review with detailed instructions just in case anyone might be replacing their hotend for the first time like me. This was definitely worth the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Factory replacement *by A***D on April 17, 2025* Replaced one that had a blob and broke the wires etc. Working like a charm. To fetch it through the wire loom, I simply taped the board end to the wires at the hot end and used the old wire to pull through the loom.
