Review: It really is new - After I had ordered it I kept coming back to the reviews and reading them over again. There were so many bad ones that I started getting really worried and nearly canceled before it even arrived and then worried about being charged a ridiculous restocking fee without even opening the box. My husband and video recorded the entire process just in case. I'm so happy it came out to be a positive experience. My husband has been in IT for 30 years and explained that it's not in an Invidia box because it's an oem piece of hardware. He looked it over (not a scratch on it), popped it in his box and ran some bench marks. It performs just like a brand new 3090. I'm very happy with with the card and my experience.
Review: Great card, high price - I upgraded from a zotac 2080 Ti to this card and the difference despite only being a generation apart is huge. All of my games run smoother, the more intensive games I can run at even higher quality, and some weird compatibility issues with the zotac card are gone. This card just works and it works incredibly well. The only thing to note is that cards like these are all going for crazy high prices. I wouldn’t say that’s the sellers fault necessarily, just the state of GPUs in this economy. I looked up what a 2080 Ti is going for on Newegg and they’re going for $2,000. If you’re looking at buying between a 2080 Ti and this 3090, spend the extra couple hundred bucks and get the 3090. Otherwise I’d say wait for the prices of cards to come back down or just hold out for the 40 series cards.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why is this $3500?**
A: I am laughing at these scummy scalpers! The price WAS $3500, but the price keeps dropping, now they are selling for $2100.
I really hope that they are still stuck with these cards as AMD's 6900 becomes available( comparable to the 3090 and MSRP of $999). Hopefully then NVIDIA will drop the MSRP as the 3090 actually becomes available, maybe these scalpers will have to sell these cards, cards they thought would be an easy and quick profit, for a loss.

**Q: really you expect someone to pay that? you are high on crack**
A: If you are a miner you will pay this price and it will pay for itself in approximately 7-10 months at the going rate.

So not always about the gamers needing an economics book.

**Q: Why is the price double the msrp? are you an authorized vendor or just a scalper?**
A: The funny thing is the fact that this has been going on with Amazon for the past 6-12 months lol. I mean, a 12 pack of soda used to be like $8-10. About a month ago, they were $24 lmao. Although that's just food items, there are most likely other items that have spiked prices as well. One of which is trading card supplies! Yes, trading card supplies are cheaper than computer parts - but sellers are still listing them for twice as much money on Amazon than they'd cost on the official website where you could buy them (and the official website is, coincidentally enough, sold out of all card supplies until like March. I wonder who's buying them all lmao). I do also recall running into another tech item that was priced insanely high - just can't remember what the item was...
So yeah, this has definitely been a seller scalping issue that has been going on for a little while now =/

**Q: is the MSRP of this item $1499?**
A: NO its not.. dont help scalpers this should only cost 1499 for the 3090

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great card, high price

### ⭐ Not brand new - used and abused GPU
*by E***Y on February 5, 2022*

i've bought several GPU's for mining and all either come plastic wrapped from the manufacturer and/or sealed with the manufacturer's tape. This box had neither and the first thing you will see when you open the box is - "a 50% restocking fee applies to opened boxes". The performance is garbage and i can't get it above 105mh without risking serious damage to the chip. it runs consistently at 110C while mining without even pushing it which is incredibly dangerous. Even with the chip running with full clearance around it, while overclocking -450/+1,000 + 80-85% power and 100% fan speed, it STILL can't get it under 106C while mining. It self throttles before going above 110C and burning out, but this alone makes me super skeptical that it's new. I know 3090's run hot while mining but not like this. I have another 3090 that i bought new (that actually had manufacturer tape on it when i bought it) and it runs smoothly with pushed overclock settings at 125mh and doesn't even hit above 90C. This is how out of the box 3090s should run when they're new. Ok fine maybe it's just the founder's brand that performs poorly, it should still benchmark decently right? Wrong. The last thing i did was benchmark the GPU and sure enough it doesn't even perform above the 8th percentile in comparison to every other 3090 GPU out there. It is literally impossible for this product to be new with such a subpar performance, and most likely the result of heavy consistent use for months. Guy keeps saying that it was sealed and he has a photo of it. Funny since i can use the exact same tape, "seal it", take a picture and also say that it is brand new. The fact that he has the restocking fee threat when you first open the box tells me that he knows what he's doing and now i'm fighting to get a refund... Buyer beware.
