Does anyone know if the EXPEL can be removed without damaging the paint job or casuing a big mess. Any insight on how this stuff is lasting over time?

It can be removed without damaging the paint. In fact, it will start to come off by itself at some point. After about a year or so of "re-installing" some areas that the product peeled off the truck, I decided to have a local dealer apply a 3M product that is more like Rhino and Line-X coating and becomes part of the vehicle's exterior finish. The glue residue left from the EXPEL product was removed with a DA sander, in preparation for the new 3M coating. Stones, washing, waxing, or regular use has had no effect on the 3M finish. The 3M product will likely be there until the truck is repainted, years down the road. Hope this helps....

Is the black rocker panel guard as stretchy as the clear tape?

I mean it works the same, little thinner factory rocker guard

is the clear any different than the xpel film you put on the paint???

The one I put on my F150 was the black film , it look like the rhino bed liner stuff to me . Anyway the XPEL has been on my truck since 2018 and hasn't come loose at all . Just make sure you clean the surface really good . It's a fine product.

Does it come in pre cut lengths specific to the make of your vehicle?

No. This product is not customized by vehicle. As per the description, the roll is 9" x 30'.
