Review: Well manufactured, sufficiently flexible, aesthetic-looking, and reasonably large. - This board is more expensive than the plastic versions, but it has the advantage of looking pretty decent in an office. It props at a wide range of angles, which is quite helpful (I use mine at nearly 90%, but others may prefer 15-25%). The board eliminates the need to lean forward when reading sitting at a desk. It can help with writing as well. It also eliminates the need to use long-distance glasses for people who are nearsighted enough to need long-distance glasses for reading or writing. The area is large and can be used to prop three letter-size pages next to each other in portrait orientation. The small protrusion that helps hold a book on the board is somewhat small for my use, but this is because I use the board primarily for reading; someone who needs it for writing would be pleased that the protrusion is only in the middle of the lower edge and, therefore, doesn't interfere with writing.

I takes up the whole open space on my home desk. It also folds flat, so I can take it with me to work pretty easily if I want to.

**Q: Is the wood surface hard enough to draw on with strong pressure? Or is it a softer wood that a sharp pencil will dig into thru thin paper? Thanks**
A: A vinyl drafting table cover or a plastic desk protector pad can be used to protect the surface against strong writing pressures. The wood surface holds up well to normal handwriting, but if you press hard (we mostly see this with young children learning to write), indentations in the wood can occur.

**Q: Can this be made into a custom size?  Possibly looking for qty (5) with a size of 37" X 25"?**
A: This is not a customizable item and available in two sizes:Large 24"W x 14"D. Also available in Small 16"W x 14"D.

**Q: Could this writing slope be used with a laptop to elevate it and make it more ergonomic?**
A: Yes, these writing slopes can also serve as laptop stands, but keep in mind a few things: 1) The laptop cover must be capable of opening to a large enough angle to accommodate the angle of the writing slope. If your laptop opens to 140-degrees, it can be elevated on a sloped surface up to 45-degrees. However, if your laptop only opens to a maximum of 90-degrees, it cannot be elevated on a sloped surface at all, and must instead be elevated on a FLAT surface; 2) The bottom lip on the writing slope is 3/4" deep. Laptops with a square shape on the bottom edge should sit securely against the lip. Laptaps with a curved bottom edge may not; 3) These writing slopes are several inches larger than a laptop, so they can gobble up a bit more desktop real estate than you might like. Not a problem if you have the space.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautifully made and very useful

I bought this product for my husband, He suffers from a neurological disease, and can no longer speak. He has a very expensive alternative augmentative communication device, but it is too complicated for him to use effectively. Recently my husband had an appointment with a occupational therapist who had in her office a slant board very similar to this one. Seeing my husband work with that therapist inspired me to purchase this product. I put a dry erase whiteboard on this writing slope. I can adjust the slant board so he can see the white board, and he is able to write on it. He will not win any awards for penmanship, but this is by far the best aid to communication that we have found! Being able to communicate at least basic things makes an enormous difference in his quality of life, and mine. P.S. I like the slant board myself. It is very pleasing to the hand and eye.
