I have been using the Aesop Amazing Face Cleanser for a few weeks now, and while I definitely enjoy the experience of using it, I am still on the fence about whether it is worth the premium. On the positive side, it lives up to the brand's reputation for incredible scents. It has that classic citrusy and botanical aroma that makes my morning shower feel like a high-end spa, and the gel texture feels really refined and high-quality on the skin. It does a great job of cutting through oil without leaving my face feeling completely stripped or tight, which can be a hard balance to find for someone with combination skin. However, once you get past the beautiful packaging and the amazing smell, it is still just a face wash. While it performs well, I can’t help but think there are several other better options out there at this exact same price point, or even for much less. I’ve used other professional-grade cleansers that offer more active ingredients or a deeper clean for the same investment. You are definitely paying a bit of a "cool factor" tax with Aesop, and while the aesthetic is great for a bathroom counter, the actual formula doesn't necessarily blow its competitors out of the water. If you are a die-hard fan of the brand or you just really value a sensory experience while you wash your face, you will probably be very happy with this. It is a good product that does exactly what it says it will do, and it hasn't caused me any irritation at all. But if you are looking for the absolute best results for your money, you might want to look around at some other skincare brands first. It is a solid 4-star product, but I'm not entirely sure I'll be rushing to restock it once this bottle runs out.

Aesop's facial cleansers are the only brand I like to use. I've tried most of their products and also like to use the Aesop toner, exfoliating paste, and face oil.

Lovely facewash with really nice results. I have quite dry skin in the winter and this facewash is delicate enough to not irritate the skin but removes all dirt and make up! My skin feels refreshed !

Scent nice, very moisturizing

My facial skin is very sensitive and everything I previously used would dry out my face and I'd need to add lotion. This is the first facial cleanser that works! It's pricey but it really makes a difference in how your face looks and feels. I'm not someone that writes many reviews but if you have the means to buy this, don't hesitate. It is the best facial cleanser I've ever used including Kiehl's.
