This was just what I needed to fix my son's skates. A small plastic tab on the buckle of his skates snapped so the buckle was useless. They arent great skates but for his age they're perfect since he'll outgrow them eventually. I was able to repair them with these replacement straps in a few minutes. Just had to drill out the old rivets, and then installed these with the included hardware. Perfect fit and perfect replacements

This was a great solution for my favorite part of blades. I've had my skates for about 7 years and the original strap had a bit of sun damage, heat damage, and normal wear and tear. Luckily this kit came with a full change of parts - I only replaced the broken strap and the new one fit JUST right. I much prefer the $10 fix than a 70-140 pair of new rollerblades.

My 7 yr old wanted to try roller skating, so I dug around the garage and found my 15 year old Rollerblades. Well, no surprise that the bindings on my ancient skates that I've carelessly stashed in the garage would catastrophically fail due to dry rot at the roller rink resulting in a wipeout. I thought I'd give these replacement bindings a try... seemed like a low cost gamble. Happy to say, I won! All you need is a screwdriver and a drill to install. Simply drill out the rivet from the inside, then replace with the new set and simply screw it in place. Took all of 5 minutes. The new strap is rock solid and easy to use. I only needed the strap so didn't replace the ratcheting part. And the new straps fit into the old ratchet just fine. Did a little test skate around the driveway and so far so good. If these fail, I'll come back and update this review.

Update: The seller promptly sent a complete new kit after I contacted them. Under normal circumstances the extra week to get all the parts would have been no big deal. Both replacement straps installed easily (once I drilled out the old rivets) and both function well staying closed under tension. Original: The one I have installed seems to work well - but I can't complete installation of the other one because one of the pronged nuts is missing in the hardware pack. Puts a damper on my Florida holiday activities. Waiting to hear back from seller.

Fast shipping, easy install. I looked up how to install. I tested the skates out after with full function. I'll be going to the skatepark soon to really test the strength of the straps but I was skating in my garage no problem. Great value, seems durable, fit my skates well, just had to reverse where the buckle was to slide the strap in. No problem as the strap had enough slack to fit me. I am almost 40 yrs old father with 20+ year old Rollerblade Swindler inline skates.

neither of my buckles hold, they were easy to install but pointless after realizing they don't hold, any slight pressure on them and they release and get loose :///

These saved my old skates! I got my old Salamon in-line skates out for the first time in probably 15 years when my kids got skates for Christmas. The old buckles crumbled to pieces. I had to drill out the rivets on the old hardware and drill one new hole for the receiver/lock end, but these worked great. No issues after a day of practicing (helping the kids) at the local roller rink.

They look good, easy to fit. We shall see.
