That doesn't mean it's a worthwhile life by worldly standards, which is so much focused on material gain and "winning" over your fellow humans, but a worthwhile life by God's standards which means you get to live a joy-filled and meaningful existence for eternity, not just your 3-score and 10 allocation in this world. That doesn't mean life will be easy (it may be far from easy) but it will be worthwhile because you'll be ready to receive the amazing inheritance he's planned for us in Heaven. Review: The language to begin with is pretty evangelical and if you're not used to it - Being a Vicar's daughter who has struggled with the Christian faith and religion all my life, I bought this in the vain but doubtful hope it might assist with my confusion. You need to get through the first couple of chapters which reference the word "purpose" all the time but provide no answers, and then in the third or fourth chapter, it hits you between the eyes and from then on in, each chapter is a new revelation! The language to begin with is pretty evangelical and if you're not used to it, I imagine it can be off-putting. I simply ignored it and carried on. You also need to just accept some of the principles and keep going. I tend to question everything and, although there may be elements with which I do not agree, I've learned that I need just proceed and understand the breadth of the message rather than getting caught up in the detail. This book is aboslutely fantastic and I'll be buying it for my family for Christmas.
