Burris mounts WILL NOT WORK on these rifles. And adding a sliding butt stock with a cheek pad, requires a riser of at least 1/2" to 1" , depending on pad thickness, not including scope mount height. Essentially, this puts your scope or sights at the height of an AR with a carry handle... This riser works GREAT, for this application , and solved my problems of having the old sliding stock, pinch my face every time I fired the weapon . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Worked great! *by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2021* Or should I say, it still works great. This was high enough to allow me to use the fixed, iron sights on my Marlin rifle, while also allowing for the solid seating of a glass reticle for longer shots. Like any mount, you have to check the tightness occassionally as to avoid slip, but they have remained solidly locked for several years now. It's well made, goes right onto the rail on my AR, lifts my scope up high enough to clear my front sight, and i can snug it down where it won't vibrate loose from the recoil. I did use just a drop of Locktight Blue on the screws but then I always do that when I have no plans on removing a sight. I love the fact that I can use my backup sights just by looking through this riser should the need arise. This is a solid well made part and I'm really pleased with it. Shipping was super fast and arrived in secure packaging. It just doesn't get any better than this.
