Low Residue Diet Cookbook: 70 Low Residue (Low Fiber) Healthy Homemade Recipes for People with IBD, Diverticulitis, Crohn’s Disease & Ulcerative Colitis Review: well organized and good info - The idea behind this book is that "low residue" food are easier to digest and exit the system without causing blockages. Though in general a high fiber diet is suggested (even in the intro to this book) there are some medical conditions where this type of diet is recommended temporarily. This book lays out the basics and the "how" and even has handy charts of foods that are allowed vs foods to avoid. The Main Dish recipes are broken into sections based on the protein: Chicken, Pork, Lamb, Beef, Turkey, Seafood, and eggs. Side dishes: rice, breads, veggies. And there are also beverages and desserts sections. And each recipe has the nutritional facts with it. Very helpful. Review: A good book however needs proofreading. Still I recommend it. - I'm an avid cook and I always enjoy reading cookbooks. I'm not a huge fan of healthy cookbooks , since the only thing I do healthy when cooking... Is healthy portions! This nook is well written in that it explores all kinds of recipes. Keeping in mind that they are All healthy, low fat, no sodium and the like. It has entrees snacks and light meals as well as dinners. In general the book is good however I didn't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons, I love cookbooks just not a fan of the recipes, and secondly the book needs proofreading. It just reads lime it was written by So and just needs some soul. The authors bio said she was passionate about health and nutrition, that needs to show in the book.

Good for some
Good for some, but almost every recipe had items I could not eat. My diet is just too limited for this cookbook.

Low residue diet cookbook
My father was recently told he had to adhere to a low residue diet. This cookbook provides many tasty and easy low residue recipes. The turkey meatloaf is excellent.

Very basic information
This book is for someone who has never cooked before. I was very disappointed and feel ripped off as I payed a premium price for it! The information did not go any further than the three page information sheet That I received at the hospital! I could have written this book based on the hospital information! 👎🏼

Great
This book is print on demand so you can't just run out and pick it up. Your local bookstore or major chain will need at least 2 weeks notice, Amazon gets it done in 2 days. Totally perfect!!! It has great information and provides some great recipes. My grandparents were feeling discouraged with the new diet and with this book they have a lot more information and options for both cooking and eating out. It has helped a lot.

The concept is easy. I like the fact that when adapted
I do not know what low residue diet is. This book introduces me to it. The concept is easy. I like the fact that when adapted, there will be lesser changes in my lifestyle. It is only that this book is encouraging me to eat less. That is something I have to curb, my tendency to overeat.

Disappointed
I was very disappointed in this cook book; it had only a few recipes and was not helpful at all. Unfortunately, as far as I and Barnes and Noble can tell, this is the only low residue cook book on the market. Please consider doing a second edition with numerous recipes like a normal cookbook.
