The price seems high, but you won't regret the purchase.
I hesitated because of the price. But as they say about quality tools, "Buy once cry once". This is far and away superior to *all* of the other cheaper options I tried. I'm taking care of a 90 year old stroke victim who is also an amputee and is also over 6 feet tall. He requires a toilet riser with a frame. I'm using this frame with a Kohler 3" rise toilet seat. This frame is way, way sturdier than any of the toilet risers with seats. The 3" kohler seat on top of an ADA height toilet and the toilet surrounded by this very sturdy and nicely adjustable frame is so superior to the common toilet risers you'll see in old folks homes/care facilities or sold by medical supply companies for in home use that I can't even consider them to be the same class of device. It's like comparing night and day or apples to oranges. They're not the same. Doing it this way was an actual solution to every problem presented by the situation. The frame is incredibly easy to install. Once properly installed, it's sturdy. I still do question what makes it so expensive, but as far as I can tell, there is no other device like it in its class, so they can charge what they want... And if I had to make these decisions all over again, I'd go ahead and just buy this KMINA frame and the Kohler 3" seat. If I ever need to take care of someone else who requires such a device, I won't hesitate to pay what they're asking.

Well worth the price
This is an excellent safety device. It's very easy to install (even for my less than mechanically inclined spouse) and works great. I am non weight-bearing on one leg for a few more weeks, and this is sturdy, stable and easy to adjust. Highly recommend.

Solidly built product that's also a highly effective piece of adaptive equipment.
I purchased this toilet safety rail in Feb. 2023. I waited to write this review in order to validate the long term quality of the product. I worked professionally for 30yrs in disability accomodations & considering the expense of this item, I wanted to be sure I could stand behind any recommendation that I made. Good news, it's been a great product and a favorite of mine for adaptive equipment effectiveness. It takes a minute to install it, but it is totally worth it. I'm a big gal, 6'0ft & 250lbs, and it has more than supported my weight, repeatedly on a daily basis. I've had 2 occasions in the past 2 years where the connector pieces had to be re-tightened, but other than that, no issues whatsoever. I wish I had bought this 20 years ago, as it has increased my confidence & significantly improved my independence in the bathroom. In addition, it doesn't impede the access of non-mobility impaired persons from being able to use the facilities. In fact, several people who have visited over the last 2 years liked it so much, they took down the product information and ordered one for their own home. Solidly built product that's also a highly effective piece of adaptive equipment. I highly recommend.

Super easy to install and remove
My wife has an SCI and partial functionality in her legs. We have been looking at supports for toilets, even bought one that could not be used with our bidets (its in the basement bathroom now). The other day, she had a fall and was half-way off the toilet when I rescued her. I immediately ordered this item having been watching it for several months, but balked at the price. It arrived and I was surprised at how heavy it is, but that's good as it is strong and stable. I like the side supports (suction cups) that really stabilize the arms and hold them in place. It also does not install behind the toilet seat so our bidet seats are not a problem. The arms adjust up and down with screw-in knobs, so they are semi-permanent; the arms move forward and backwards instantly with a switch at your finger tips. The box indicated that I would need a screwdriver and wrench to install but everything was a "knob", no tools required. The instructions that came with it are not as good as those on the product page, but still easy to do. Be prepared to make adjustments after your first guess for the width, angle of the front connecting bar, and height. Even if you had to make adjustments, that is only a couple minutes. One key selling point for me is how easy it is to remove, ironically. My wife is a very proud woman (look who she married) and we work hard to maintain her dignity throughout her disability. When we have family gatherings, I can relocate this device in less than a minute and we have a normal guest bathroom again. After everyone leaves, it goes back in and we return to normal.

Exactly what I need
After perusing available toilet safety frames to check size, adjustability and customer reviews, I chose this frame because I wanted to have a sturdy frame that was attached to the toilet and wouldn’t need to be replaced periodically. I liked that the product description gave precise measurements for all parts of the frame, which other products didn’t show as clearly. I laid all the parts out to be sure everything was included, got familiar with how the fastenings work, and had very little trouble assembling the frame and attaching it to the toilet. It is important to measure the space where the frame will fit, side to side, front to back, noting where the TP roll is. It’s also very important to look at the reference photos in the description so the parts that are attached to the toilet sides will actually rest on your toilet where they’re supposed to. There are measurements shown to help decide if this frame will work for you. PROS. I didn’t need any tools or much strength. The main components are the sides that fasten to the front rail, and they are heavier than I expected. There is some adjustability for the width, the height of the armrests, and placement of the armrests towards the front or back. The assembly instructions are mostly pictures, which I appreciate so much more than words. It was easy to put together and check the measurements to keep everything centered. I am an older woman, not as strong or handy as I used to be and still had few problems. Once the frame is properly placed with the soft cups closed against the toilet sides, this is a very sturdy frame. It was easy for me to get used to where the front feet of the frame sit on the floor in relation to the bottom of the toilet. Because the frame is attached to the toilet, the feet didn’t slide around on my vinyl flooring as I put the frame in place. CONS. The main components are heavy, so it might be helpful to have an assistant. Lining up the holes to set the height and width is a little fiddly. Not bad, but could be easier. There are only two setting for the width, so this isn’t as adjustable as some might prefer. I’m slightly larger than the average sized woman, and the narrower width works just fine for me. The height of the armrests is more adjustable but still fiddly as the holes need to be lined up, and you have to be sure the height is the same on both sides. While the armrests themselves can be positioned in one of two settings: either more forward or more to the back, it would be better if there were more settings here, perhaps including being able to move the armrests out of the way via a sort of hinge at the back. The armrests aren’t cushioned, not a problem for me, but might be for others.

Very thankful for this item
Bottom line: I’d recommend this product and I will repurchase the same item if this one ever breaks. My 75 y/o mom has some mobility issues. Her knees make it challenging for her to rise from seated positions and to sit on the toilet without just plopping down in it. This has helped her TREMENDOUSLY. If this thing breaks I will 100% repurchase. Pros👍🏾👍🏾 -USEFULNESS: this has helped my mom a LOT! She has something to hold onto so she can gently lower herself down instead of just plopping down onto the toilet seat. - SAFETY: It helps mom raise from the toilet or be seated safely. I’m not thrilled about the arm tests (see cons below) -WIDE: my mom is a thick girl, pear shaped (lots of hip and butt) and neither her hips, butt, or thighs are squished. Mama is about 220 lbs, 5’1”, and wears a 20/22 in pants. It’s wide e light to comfortably accommodate her but still is not overly bulky. -STURDINESS: his thing is STURDY and it does not wobble at all. -PRICE: I think it is reasonably priced. Cons👎🏾 -ASSEMBLY: the 🤬 assembly!! Clearly it can be done, but the instructions (essentially diagrams without words) could have been more helpful. The diagrams could have been bigger too. It took a little effort to figure out how to line up some of the holes, but once you figure out the first set things move quickly. I didn’t time myself, but I estimate that it took definitely less than 45 minutes — Likely around 30 minutes or less. 15 minutes of that time was spent either cussing about only providing diagrams with no written instructions or squinting at the instructions and trying to figure out what the pictures were trying to tell me. -ARM RESTS: I don’t like that they are smooth. I mildly worry that mom will try to grip the. With wet hands and her grip will slip. She assured me that i didn’t have to worry about this. To alleviate some of my worry, I stuck some of the textured anti-slip strips that you use in bathtubs to the arm rests.

Buy it if looking for sitting and standing support in bathrooms for patients or elderlies
This is a very sturdy product and extremely easy to assemble in less than 10 minutes. A family member of mine recently had an accident and broke her ribs in multiple places. Poor lady, she had total knee surgery recently recovered completely from that started her life normal and then this accident happened so this product really came in handy. This product provides a very good support to sit and stand when she is using the restroom, I would definitely recommend anybody who is looking for such kind of a product. This is a lifesaver for patients like her.

Solid Feel and Easy Installation
Feels solid; not rock solid. However; if the cheaper ones are rated at say a score of 70 out of 100; I give this 95 out of 100. The very minor shift is really not noticeable because as soon as any weight is on the arms it is totally stable. Installation? Easy as can be. Fit against the toilet is excellent. The big plus are the angled pads that adjust on the bottom sides of the toilet. I was most pleased the adjustment of the width that allowed it to fit in a relatively narrow space between the tile wall and the sink cabinet.
