The rack is coated similar to those coated closet racks for pantries. I was shocked that nothing sticks to it and any food residue left sitting on top after cooking, just wipes away with a cloth. The pan is also finally big enough to cook large amounts of food on! I’m so sick of putting food on two small pans and rotating, never fully getting evenly cooked/browned/crisped food! Which brings me to my next point. The reason I bought this. For crisping food! I bought a new oven and it has an air fryer feature. Genius right?!? Goodbye multiple appliances! Bc the rack is a couple inches above the bottom of the pan, there is plenty of room for the air to circulate. Most times I don’t even need to flip my food! Not only that it has cut down the cooking time as well! Overall there are so many positives! Last night we had sweet potato air fries. Good and good for you. BUT... The only problem with it is that the wire rack is spaced a little too course. It is easy for things like fries to slip through the wire grid and drop on down. The wires on the rack should be just a little closer together so that does not happen. Otherwise, it works well. My wife loves it. **Q: Any recommendations for a splatter guard big enough to use in the oven with this pan??** A: We ordered this item for air frying in our conventional oven so we don't use any type of splatter guard. If you're planning on using this for air frying, please keep in mind that air flow is key and inhibiting that could alter cooking time and/or food quality. **Q: Is this sturdy enough to roast an 18# turkey?** A: This is not a roasting pan. I suppose if you spatchcock the turkey it may work but it’s a very shallow pan. The sides a just slightly higher than a cookie sheet. **Q: Does this pan flex/warp in the oven when heated?** A: I only use the pan at a low heat (250 degrees). Warping is not a problem at that temperature. I don't know what would happen at high temperatures, but I think that warping has as much to do with uneven heat as high heat. If you have a good oven, warping shouldn't be a problem. The pan is very sturdy. It is a quality product.
