And still, removed them from the ground was super easy and didn’t leave a massive hold to be filled. Know before you Start : You really have to have a midrange drill at least - the weaker the drill, the less likely your drill will be able to actually put it way down in the ground. Putting these in is going to be harder in harder soil. If you have really tough soil, count on putting in a bit more elbow grease to get the eyes flush with the ground If you drill can’t do all the work, you can put a rod through the eye and twist these down into the ground manually. You have to use these like any other tie down, so if you are trying to keep something straight up and down, you’ll probably have to run 2 wires in opposite directions. Review: Great anchors - Used these along a fence line to secure privacy fabric to the chain link fence. Went into the rocky soil easily and I was able to secure the fabric grommet to the anchor. No issues so far from the anchor, can't say the same for the privacy fabric. Wind was almost hurricane force and the fabric came free from the grommet, the brass grommet still attached to the anchor. Anchor and grommet did their job, fabric didn't. Any suggestions?** A: Top of fresh ground might be tough but get an inch or so down it should go very well I used a shovel to lay out the holes then went around with electric impact gun 16 holes no problem **Q: Shaft size** A: Half inch **Q: what size socket is required, , its says 17 mm but thats no way the size** A: I found the 12mm deep socket to be a better fit for mine. I was thinking it came with a tool, but that may have been another listing I was looking at. My Battery Drill struggled, but it has a High/Low setting, so I switched to the slower Low setting and they went right in the ground much easier. We'll see how they hold up over time... I bought the 8-piece because I figured they would be good for many things :) **Q: What kind of bolt would fit the threads to use instead of the eyebolt? From what I gather it seems like M10 but not sure what the threads are.** A: I am not sure what size the threads are. I suppose you would have to buy the anchors and then carry one to the hardware store and go from there. Your guess of 10 mm would be about right. These anchors would work well just to hold some things down and have a washer and nut on top without even using the eye bolt if that’s the direction your aiming at.
