This AZUNO moisture meter is easy to use. Just press the probes into the end of the wood or walls you want to check and it tells you the moisture content. Walls looked okay, but the moisture meter told a different story. Walls were saturated. Used this to locate the walls and insulation that needed to be replaced. Meter also found that we had gotten water down our chimney. Meter worked easily out of the box and it came with easy to understand directions and charts for indicated moisture levels. Also works great on wood make sure you press the probes in straight. You can bend the probes, but they will straighten out. It is accurate. It works as advertised. I would not be without this product if you buy firewood to heat your house. I will now be able to test the firewood before I take delivery and I will never have to deal with green wood. Overall excellent product, great quality and value, very useful highly recommended.

If you deal with fire wood you need this. It is easy to use and accurate. I liked it so much. I bought one for my son-in-law because he burns wood also.

Super easy to use, sometimes it may take a hard push or hit to get it into the material. I was a bit confused on building vs wood ratings, because drywall with a stud behind it or just drywall I don’t know if I classified it as building material but it wasn’t wood. I might have missed it in the info packet because I didn’t read much of it, so it may specify. Not sure. I have no way to validate its accuracy so I cannot speak to that. I knew a wall was wet because a pipe burst and the wall felt moist/wet and the reading seemed consistent with being wet.. that’s all I can say. It works fine for my applications though.

Very easy to use. I am glad I bought this device. I had a leaking toilet that was installed over hardwood flooring. I had to replace the rotten floor twice because I did not know I had water damage until it was too late. Now the toilet is repaired, with a new flange, but I am still paranoid about it leaking again so I bought this water meter. So far no water leaking but I still use the water meter once a week. It offers me peace of mind.

just what we ordered and perfect size

I used this meter to test over 4000 sf of 3/4 inch hardwood flooring that had been stored in a climate controlled area for about three months before install. The reading were difficult to obtain, and when they did register, they were all over the board. I went to the local big box store and bought another meter from a more reputable brand name and used it on the exact same flooring. The numbers from the better meter where within 1-2% of each other, whereas this meter still registered numbers as much as 6% off on flooring pieces from the same box. I returned this meter and kept the model I purchased from the store.

We used this on a house that was flooded 3 weeks ago... The readings seem to be Very accurate as far as which wood studs need longer drying time that others. I'm not an expert but I found that wood studs around 7.5% seemed like the Good Moisture level And the ones that were in the 16+% were still holding a lot of moisture in them. Those will need extra days of dry time before covering them back up. The alarm works Great at detection higher moisture levels. Pretty happy with this Product!

I purchased this meter fir use with something other than testing moisture in wood. It works great for what I got it for. There were other moisture meters available, this one however fit the bill for what I needed it for.

Nice piece of kit for a completely green user. Very easy to use, accurate thermometer and I'm pretty sure I've found the leak now. Comes with spare pins too. Good buy, value for money, feels very light but does the job well.

I bought this item for food preservation, testing food items from a freeze dryer. I've tested it on various surfaces and it only works on wood! Nothing else!
