My laptop has only 1 hdmi port and 2 usb-a (and no dp), and because of the tablet, I wouldn’t have any available ports for an external display. As soon as I plugged this usb-c cable the tablet connected. I used the bottom port on the tablet as per the instruction manual and boom, works perfectly. No need to shave anything down, no weird hacks, nothing. Just plug and play.
