Review: Very nice car, but could be faster. Still lots of fun!! GREAT customer service!! - This is my 3rd rc car I got in the past few months and for as nice as it is, it's a little slow. Maybe it needs some "break in" time?? I got a Deerc 302e which is much faster with a brushless system and smaller size, which makes it quite peppy and hard to control. A comparison would be unfair but comparing it to a Deerc 9026e (which is the same car) it is slower. Other than that everything else is perfect. I wanted a Deerc 200e (same truck but with a brushless motor and ESC) but decided on this because of the bad reviews on the 200e. I may convert it to brushless in the future but for now I'm thinking of getting an upgraded brushed motor as soon as I figure out which one has the best compromise of power and batt life. I will update this review once I replace the motor. As far as bang for your buck, this truck is perfect at a $99 (delivery fee incl). It is fully proportional and has a lot of parts available. It has a 540 motor and steel driveshafts & "cups". Comes with 2 batteries and 1 charger. An excellant truck for a newbie or someone like me, reviving a hobby I had in the late 80's ps- my Deerc 302e seems as fast as my old Team Associated RC 10. If you're looking for speed & power go with the Deerc 300e or 302e or maybe a 200e. I'm quite fond of the brushless system's performance. UPDATE-- I have upgraded to the 5 star rating. I was probably too hasty to say this car is slow. While not as fast and "torquey" as my 302e, it's plenty fast to get the job done. Top speeds aren't everything, its about having fun with the car too. Gets around in tall grass very well and does'nt flip over due to its low center of gravity. I do have a little concern about the motor temperature after 10 minutes of riding around the grass. It seems hotter than it should be. It wont pass the 2-3 second rule of thumb, if that's even a thing. But I'm sure I will keep this one and just ride it and have fun with it. Replacement upgraded brushed motors are cheap if this one does'nt last. Maybe a brushless upgrade in the future since I like the way this larger car handles. ps- love the "headlights". Update on motor may 19- The holyton is now as fast as my deerc 9206e and the motor no longer gets hot enough to burn my finger. I put a small amount of silicone dielectric grease on the commutator and been running it for hours. I guess the motor did need some break in time. Note, make sure (if you have a brushed motor) that the heat sink does not cover the holes in the motor. The holes need to be open for proper motor cooling. Mine came from the factory with the holes covered so I just slid it down away from the holes. And I always check it when I do a battery change. Very happy with the holyton 9205e!! June 1.---Well the motor did burn up and locked. I must say that customer service is the best!! I contacted the company and they sent me a new motor. It just arrived and I installed it, now the car works fine and seems faster than the old one. It don't get as hot either. Thank you so much for the great customer service. June 15- ps- I have another Deerc rc car and had a few problems. After contacting the company they said they would send me a new replacement. No long forms to fill out or red tape. Just a simple email to Deerc to solve my problem. Also if you call them during their normal business hours, you have the pleasure of speaking to a person and not a computer. If that's not good customer service, I don't know what is. 5+ stars and a thumbs up to Deerc company!!! update- April 2023- The car is still doing fine after a year of playtime. I actually wore the tires almost bald and had to replace them. That should give you an idea of how much the car was driven. The replacement motor that Deerc sent me is doing fine, but I had the itch to go faster. So I upgraded to an Injora 27T motor which is available on desertcart. What a difference!!! It has enough torque to climb over obstacles and also has a much faster top speed!! Under certain conditions it will pop the ft wheels off the ground, something it never came close to. Back to the car- For the selling price and the money I put into maintainence (still less than $200), I am totally satisfied. And I feel like I should mention again that Deerc (who makes this car) Has the best customer service!!! This is a very common and durable chassis which Deerc uses in many of their models, including the 2 new brushless cars, the 200e and 210e. I had a Deerc 9206e and that car was identical to the Holyton 9205e. The only difference was the color of the body. Anyone looking to get into the hobby, get a Deerc rc car. With the durability and great customer service you can buy with confidence. By the way, even though I'm not afraid to take my car off road on many different terrains I DO NOT go to skate parks and sail my rc car 20 ft in the air, like seen on too many u-tube videos. I just don't get the point. Spend 1 to 2 hundred on a toy only to trash it at a skate park??? Just something to keep in mind when I say the car is durable. If you sail your car 20 ft or more in the air I can predict the future. You ARE going to break it.
Review: The Holyton 9205E Radio-Controlled Car is flat out a BEAST! - I am more of a drone guy but when my oldest daughter had one of my drones fly into the wild blue yonder, she didn’t want to play with them any longer and that ended drones as a father-daughters bonding time. So I decided to try RC cars. Not really my thing but I wanted my girls to have fun with dad and so I decided to try something a bit closer to earth. Initially I got a 1:10 truck and it was great fun but it was a bit too large for my youngest, so I got her a smaller/slower car. My oldest loved it but I wanted to find something a tad less expensive for her to cut her teeth on. So I bought the Holyton 9205E, slightly smaller (1:12) but still with the beefy 4WD tires and higher speeds she likes. So we got it last week and have been trying it out all week and this has been an absolute beast. We just moved into a new house and the yard isn’t done (check out the videos to see). The lawn hasn’t been mowed, the driveway is being redone and parts of the lawn are chewed up...and this thing chewed up and spit out everything in my yard. Check out the videos I will post--the car was nearly buried in my grass and it just flies along, it took the 2” riser to my new driveway with ease and the remaining gravel made a great ramp*. I was literally abusing that thing mercilessly and it kept coming back for more and that is really what I want from an RC car. I want to have FUN with it, not gingerly steer it around obstacles. The sad part is that I have come to prefer this car to my truck and so I had to “convince” daughter #1 to take my truck for her own. She didn't complain and we now share. The kit comes with the car, the remote, two batteries, USB charger, instructions (with full car schematic) and a tools + spare parts bag. I was consistently getting just over 24 minutes per battery. Trimming the car via the remote is easy and straightforward. Because I am in the middle of a move, I didn’t have my clocking gun to verify speed but it was every bit as fast as my truck I and clocked that at 30mph. I especially liked that this had a lower center of gravity so the car was less likely to flip, though I punished it enough that it did a few times. **Q: Are the wheels and tires replaceable using hex nuts?**
A: Yes they are. And they usually come with a tool. Mine did...

**Q: If I buy two for my kids will the controllers interfere with each other or do I need to buy two different cars?**
A: No, my son and I have the same controllers for our similar cars.  I or he turn the car and controller on and then the next.  Never had an issue with them interfering with each other and we’ve switched the remotes up and they work for each other’s car but it just depends on how you turn them on.  But we play and play and have no problems

**Q: How can i tell when the battery is fully charged? the light on the usb cable always shows red. is there a better cable i can buy that'll tell me?**
A: Mine is staying solid red even after use haven't seen any green or blinking until I unplug the battery then it blinks red any thoughts??

**Q: Has anyone found somewhere to purchase replacement parts for this car?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very surprised at speed!

Great RC car for the price. I bought two so that I could play with my 5 year old and he was able to control it quicker than I was. Very easy to control. Only downside is that the wheels fall off quite frequently and the nut bolt that holds the wheel gets lost. They do send some replacements but we went through them rather quickly. You have to continue to tighten wheels in order to prevent this. Battery life is roughly 15 minutes at full speed so it's good to always have the second battery charged. Overall, great toy and so much fun to operate. My son loves them and will certainly order more if needed.
