Yes, all the other glowing reviews are correct, this is High carbon, Excellent design and the right size and grip for beginners or seasoned pros who need solid, no-nonsense construction. If you are on the fence about this being the right for the price consider, this is a responsible company, it's virtually indestructible and it's far better to Have this, when you Need it, rather than not.

This is a really exceptional well and carefully designed prybar/crowbar that fills a gap not served by a regular prybar or crowbar. It is extremely useful in that the prybar is substantially thinner than a standard prybar so that it can easily be inserted between nailed boards to start prying them apart, and finish with the crowbar section. The size and skeletonized construction of this tool makes it extremely handy and easy to use while keeping it very lightweight, I have other Spec Ops tools and am continually impressed with the care and thoughtfulness that they put into the innovative design and manufacture of their tools, rather than simply copycatting standard designs.

I bought this kit to help tear down an old privacy fence, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for the job. Each tool was just the right size for working around stubborn boards and nails. They made pulling old nails quick and easy while protecting my hands from splinters and rough wood. The build quality is solid — everything feels sturdy and well-balanced in the hand. After hours of use, the grips were still comfortable, and none of the tools showed any bending or wear. They functioned exactly as expected and made the project go much faster than I anticipated. well built

This was purchased to replace a 36" "gooseneck" bar privately branded by one of the big box lumber yards. Last year I'd been pleased with the performance of the 36" while replacing exterior cedar trim but a couple weeks ago it actually bent when using it for heavier work. My search for a wrecking or demo bar on Amazon found this and I'll admit to being a little put off by the price, especially considering it's only a 30" bar but this thing probably weighs more than 1.5 x what the big box bar weighs and it's a much more thoughtful design, like whoever came up with its subtle features has a very clear working knowledge of this type of tool. Fit and finish are excellent for a tool thats going to get the crap beat out of it. A little extra fulcrum material is added in all the right places and this is downright heavy so I expect it to take a beating with a smile. Good Job Spec Ops Guys! Update: A year of heavy use later and this bar continues to exceed my expectations. I thought it might suffer some because of its shorter length but honestly I don't even notice because it offers such superior leverage. It helps me get more done quicker, so it's more than paid for itself, and there's nothing like the feel of a quality tool in your hand even if it's used for demolition. If this was ever lost (doubtful) I'd buy another in a heartbeat. I also have the small flatbar for EDC on my toolbelt and for its small size and weight it's an extremely capable and useful tool. Thinking about getting the 21" flat bar based on the quality of the other two tools.

Ein tolles Werkzeug. Den Gummi-Griff finde ich super. Das Brecheisen kam leider mit einer Beschädigung an, sodass ich es zurück geschickt habe. Habe es dann als „Ersatz“ im 3-Tool-Set mit Nagelzieher und kleinem Hebeleisen bestellt. Hier war Preis-Leistung deutlich besser. Leider ist die Klaue etwas enger als 90 Grad angebracht, sodass in Ecken nur angesetzt werden kann wenn schon ca. 2 cm Abstand sind. Dieser Abstand kann natürlich sehr gut mit dem anderen Ende hergestellt werden. Dennoch könnte das m.E. Verbessert werden. Zumal das auf den Fotos ehr nach 90 Grad aussieht. Letztendlich habe das Tool im Set behalten und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Rückversand etc. wie üblich bei Amazon überhaupt kein Problem. Zugestellt wurde das Tool jedoch in einem großen Karton ohne wirkliche Lagesicherung. Dem Entsprechend hatten die Klauen bereits Löcher in den Karton geschlagen. Hier sollte beim Solo-Tool nachgebessert werden. Beim 3-Tool-Set war das Tipptopp in einem dafür vorgesehenen Karton gesichert und versandt.

Extremely sturdy and robust tools. Used all 3 for heavy demolition work and it made the job so much easier. Each tool complements the others very well. All tools survived many ~8ft drops without any issues. Highly recommend.
