My regular size is 32w 30l

That's my size as well in other carhartt pants. The 34w 32l bibs fit perfect. I'm 5'11" 165lbs. I returned a pair of 32w 32l. They were too snug even with just a t-shirt.

How wide are the legs on these?

The legs on these are stupid big. They cover my whole boot. I’m 6’1 190 lbs. and I wear a size 11 boot I’m not huge but I’m not small either. These bibs are the stupidest looking thing I’ve ever tried on...

I wear size 38 in my other Carhartt overalls... do these fit the same or are they sized smaller than other Carhartts?

They fit the same as other Carhartt bibs

Are legs as wide on these as they are on the classic overalls?

No the legs are not nearly as wide. That was one of the first things I noticed when o put them on because I have thick thighs, but after wearing them in the field they are just as comfortable of not more than the original. But you not getting your boots though them at all.
