MAYFLASH F300 Arcade Fight Stick Joystick for Switch/Switch 2, PS4, PS3, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, Xbox 360, macOS, Windows, Steam Deck and more

Very comfortable, solid, and it really reminds me of the arcades of yesteryear. Street Fighter, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Guilty Gear Strive... everything is going great. The installation is simple: in the attached photo, we see the setting that is enough to play on PC as with an Xbox controller. You have to put the switch on XINPUT and LS. I also put the Turbo 2 (25 presses per second) to make the button response even faster - super practical on fighting games. Plug & play: recognized directly by Windows as an Xbox controller, no drivers to install. I liked it so much that I plan to buy a second one to play as a family with my siblings. Even the youngest, who are not used to modern controllers, find it easy to handle. It's like having a real arcade terminal at home! Excellent quality for the price, guaranteed arcade sensations!

I love this stick,I could end the review with that and give it 5 stars and call it a day,however I'll tell you why I love this stick. (I mean this is a review right lol) First of all let me start off by saying I'm no stranger to this stick,I bought a used older Mayflash stick that was modded with Sanwa parts off ebay and so I kind of knew what I was getting into with this. I love the fact that this stick is so easy to mod with Sanwa parts and was a huge selling point for me,the stock parts are alright but I doubt that they last,I play top level mvc2 and for those of you who are reading this and are into fighters,you already know how that goes,so I'm going to be needing some pretty damn durable parts that will last,Sanwa parts is the answer to that,another brand I'm familiar with. I also love this stick because it's compatable with PC,PS3,PS4,XBONE and I'm not sure but I think you can use this on your 360 as well. I think for the newer consoles,the Playstation 4 and Xbox one,respectively,you need the stock controller to get the stick to work but I haven't tried that. I use this joystick on my Playstation 4 with Street Fighter V but I use it as a legacy controller,aka a Playstation 3 controller,so I haven't tried to use this as a Playstation 4 joystick just as of yet because I have no need to. I may be thinking too much (I'm guilty of that at times!) but why would I pay all this money for a madcatz "fightstick" that's only compatible with one system or the other when I can get a stick that's compatible with multiple systems at a much cheaper price. I don't know,that's just how I see it. I know and understand that this stick is not going to be for everybody but it definitely fits my needs. The modding capability was probably the main selling point for me,the older Mayflash sticks took alot of work to mod (including soldering) but this stick is much easier to mod and I'm sure this was done on purpose by the makers of the stick,so kudos goes to them for that. In case you're interested in the sanwa mod,you'll need a Sanwa JLF stick,the 8 sanwa buttons (both of these can be bought here on Amazon) and you'll need a PCB Encoder 5 pin female wire/cord or something like that it's called,you can find this on Focusattack.com,I didn't find it here on amazon,this will be used to connect the sanwa stick to the PCB of the Mayflash stick and yes it is mandatory so just go ahead and spend the 5 bucks on it. (The cord itself is 75 cents but the S and H for me was 4 bucks,so that's about 5 bucks altogether give or take,since the S and H might be more or less depending on where you're at) Oh and in reference to what I said earlier about the older Mayflash stick needing to be soldering,this one doesn't need that,you just pull out (CAREFULLY!) the wires from the stick and buttons,it's not a hard mod at all and if you're careful it should go smoothly. I guess I can't really say anything about the stock parts (parts that came with the joystick) since I just tried them out and didn't play with them over a long period of time so I don't know how durable they are but they feel alright,it's not sanwa quality but it's close enough,so if you're just really casual you probably could just skip the mod altogether but if you play fighters every day like I do,you might wanna think about doing that mod. It's about 60 bucks or so for everything needed for the mod of stick and buttons,more if you want an 8 way restricter gate or a different stick or w/e but my mod came up to about 60 bucks. It's a cheaper alternative to the mega expensive mad catz sticks which are about $250 or so (with S and H included). I don't know about you but I'm all about saving money so for me this stick definitely meets my needs,the mod went smoothly and I may purchase another one in the future. If you are serious about fighting games, I might just shell out another hundred for a fighting stick that comes with good buttons, extra buttons, solid metal build, and a good joystick (though since I already have this one I haven't been shopping around, so I can't confirm that there is a better deal out there). It's been a while since I used the joystick since I've replaced it, but I think the biggest issue was the flick back. If you push the stick all the way to the right for instance, then you let go, it would fly back to center before going left and losing its momentum. It would go so far that it would input left, which was a big problem for me in my fighting game of choice. My new sanwa stick does a much better job against flick-back and feels nicer because there is a tactile, audible "click" when a direction is inputted. Additionally, I feel that the buttons don't pop back up as much as good buttons would. If you are thinking of replacing your stick, remember to get the proper cable. I had to buy a different cable than the one that came with the new stick to get mine to work (the cable i bought was sold on amazon as a 3-pack I believe). Another issue is that the bottom fell off :(. It screws in but the screws are very short and don't have a lot of grip. Somehow the tread in the screw hole got stripped. I don't mind it so much, I can play without the bottom or even duct tape it back on, but I did appreciate the bottom because the metal made it feel more "solid" (the rest of the frame is plastic) and gave it some weight so it wouldn't move as much on my lap. All in all, for the price it's a good entry into deciding if you want to use an arcade stick for your game of choice. If you DO enjoy the controller enough, I think you will definitely be wanting a different joystick and maybe buttons. I would also take into consideration that extra buttons would be helpful. In my game (guilty gear strive), it barely covers what I need, but I am left without a taunt button :(.

Awesome budget friendly Arcade Joystick, simple to modify and not cheap feeling or looking. Good for any platform, just plug this bad boy in and you're good to go!

Bought mine back in 2020, took 6 years of often and rough usage before the buttons finally gave out. I've dropped the controller, slammed the buttons, everything. For the price you pay couldn't ask for something better, in terms of quality and durability, will definitely buy again

I've been getting back into fighting games and I also play a lot of arcade games and Bullet Hell shooters on my PC so I thought an Arcade stick would be nice to have and mess around with. Of course I wasn't prepared to drop over $100 on one when I wasn't even sure if I'd like it. I had been eyeballing the Hori Fighting Stick Mini 4 for a while and have been wanting to pick one up but after Street Fighter V came out pretty much everyone sold out of them with no signs of when or if they might be back in stock. I saw the other Mayflash sticks like the V2 (the Ps2 and Ps3 compatible one) and the one that looks like it's modeled after the Hori Fighting Edge. The feedback on them though was pretty mixed though with some saying the Joystick was mounted rather loosely and the buttons rest on the PCB and are hard to swap out. Then I came across this one. I saw some pretty decent reviews and opinions on it and heard it was built way better and is easier to mod than the other sticks so I finally decided to check it out. This stick is excellent for it's price. I don't have a lot of experience with other sticks but I've played with my friends Mad Catz Tournament Edition and various sticks in the Arcade and this definitely holds it's own against other higher priced sticks. The stick isn't very big but it still has some heft so it'll stay in place but not so heavy that it's uncomfortable in your lap though there's only rubber feet and no cushion on the bottom. The stock buttons and joystick are nice and clicky and very responsive. I personally don't feel any need to change out the buttons or stick until they start to give out. I might change the square gate to an octagonal gate though. So far it works great with everything I've used it in. Street Fighter (II Turbo HD Remix, III Third Strike Online and IV Ultra), Guilty Gear (XX Accent Core Plus R and Xrd), Skullgirls, Metal Slug, Mushimesama, Samurai Shodown, Raiden Fighters, etc. I play on PC and PS3 mainly and the stick was plug and play for both. I use the Xinput on PC so it acts like an Xbox controller and the Dinput on PS3 and have had no issues. Being able to switch between DPad and Joystick is pretty great as it does respond differently in some games. I don't use the Turbo a lot but the fact that it's there is still a nice touch for when I do want to use it. As I said I haven't modded the stick at all but apparently this stick is incredibly easy to mod. The back of the stick just screws right off. The buttons all just snap in and out and the cables are all color coded. The Joystick though uses Microswitches rather than the 5 pin connector on say the Sanwa JLF or the Hori Hayabusa stick so if you want to change it to one of those you'll need an adapter of some kind. Frankly if you just wanted to buy this stick and add all your own parts to it you'd still be saving money compared to a Hori Rap or a Mad Catz TE. Overall if your on the market for a stick but aren't willing to take the plunge on the more high end sticks, this stick honestly holds up to it's more expensive competition at a much more affordable price.

It's not a good fight-stick, in my opinion, the stick is fine, but the buttons are loud and feel poorly reinforced. I initially bought this with my ps3 in mind, and it worked well for it. However, when I brought it to ps4, the fightstick became a bit of a pain. Not having the ability to simply connect to the console, the Mayflash requires a controller to be connected to it, a design that became an instantaneous pain in the ass. The controller it connects to doesn't deplete, but the connection often breaks due to its sensitivity, this makes moving to comfort yourself risky since the lightest tug can detach you're controller. This problem is made worse by the fact that the stick is inconsistent in regards to powering on the ps4, where it seems like the stick has a mind of its own, powering on when it wants to. This stick is also hollow, which makes the stick less durable and the noises louder. I also think it could use some additional inputs, namely stick-click inputs (r3 and l3), but that's not bad. While it has many negatives, it has some positives. The stick's high compatibility makes this a good choice for multi platform use. This stick has a decent price, as well as a great size, not being so small that the only comfortable way to play is on a table like the hori fightstick mini, and not being so big that it can out-span your chest. Its a beginner stick, not the most reliable one, but good enough to last the time until determining whether or not the fighting genre is for you, where you will then invest in a better one.

This thing feels nice so far and you can switch the gate out from before to a hexagon. Pretty easy. It makes fighting games. Feel like you're in an old school arcade

Good quality and price and amazing for street fighter

This is insane, you can play in ps4, phone whatever. It is easly to connect it. Cable is also long enough to play from sofa. Shipping was fast, so i'm really glad about it.

This is a versatile joystick that is great for gaming on all sorts of platforms.

This is a very reasonably priced arcade fight stick - by Mayflash. It's well-made, with a very sturdy feel. It's components are not 'high-end' - but they are fully functional, and if your intention is to get regular use from an arcade stick without worrying about being heavy-handed with it then I fully recommend this item. What's great is that it's compatible with multiple consoles. It works with the PS4 and PS3 as well as the Xbox One and Xbox 360 (as well as a PC). If you're someone who plays on multiple consoles, this is a perfect arcade stick. It functions simply by attaching a wired controller (of your selected console) to it. It's 8 main buttons, as well as the stick itself, are solidly designed. I've made some good use out of this device (playing 'Street Fighter' and 'Mortal Kombat'), and it's very responsive. It does everything I've required of it ... Okay, it might not look as good as some of the expensive arcade sticks - but in terms of its usefulness, it's a great piece of equipment. And, because of the price, it's a bargain.
