Trying it again.
This is a really nice keyboard case, works well, and has a great battery. That said I bought this after I tried two other cases. The one I really wanted ( the one that I needed to replace) wasn't available anymore, so I purchased this one. It works fine, but I will just be waiting until the plastic hinge breaks. I had bought this same case from Best Buy about 6 years ago when I got my Air 2. I luckily bought the insurance for it, because I ended up returning 4 of the same case because of the broken hinge. None of them lasted more than a year. I bought a slightly different model (backlit keyboard) for my son's I Pad Air (1st gen) and it still works great! Not sure what the difference is.

Mom loves it!
I ordered. This for my Mom and she loves it. It makes it easier for her to type and it keeps it safe from drops. She also loves that we found it on her favorite color…. Purple! 💜

For the price, I highly recommend
So I used this product for 5 years before I had to order a new one. Yes the first ones keyboard stopped working after about 2 years and then the hinge did crack and break a few months back. It got me through college and was great for the price. I just ordered a second one to replace the first, I'll give an update if it doesn't last a year. But if it's like my last one which took a bit of a beating and lasted over 5 years I'd be happy with my second purchase.

Hinge broke in less than 4 months
I would advise anyone to NOT purchase this Zagg keyboard case. At first, this keyboard case was great! It was like typing on a laptop. But within four months, the hinge started to feel tight whenever I opened the case up. Within just a couple of weeks, this case continued to become more and more difficult to open. Eventually it began to split from the side toward the center and I had to stop using it. Since my Zagg keyboard case broke, I have read numerous reviews from other consumers whose keyboard hinges have split and broke within just a few months’ time as well. This is apparently a known defect that is common in Zagg keyboard cases—the hinge screws are simply too tight, which eventually causes the hinge to split and break. Zagg refuses to correct this and continues to sell keyboard cases with this defect. Also—ZAGG WILL NOT HONOR THEIR ONE-YEAR WARRANTY on this product. They sent me an email which stated that they will not replace this keyboard case and will not honor any warranties unless you purchase their products directly from them or from someone they approve of. They will not replace any defective products sold by this seller. Do yourself a favor. Save your money and purchase a better keyboard case from a more reliable manufacturer than Zagg.

A Practical Laptop-Like Keyboard Case That Makes an iPad Feel More Useful
I picked up this ZAGG Folio Keyboard Case for my tablet because I wanted something sturdier and more productive-oriented than just tapping on the on-screen keyboard. What this folio does particularly well is turn the tablet into something closer to a small clamshell notebook — the hinge lets you prop the screen at about 135°, which makes typing long emails or working on documents way more comfortable than the typical case or stand alone. Setup was simple. The Bluetooth pairing process was quick, and once connected it walked straight into regular use — no weird keystrokes or connections needed. The keyboard itself sits solid in the case, and the key spacing feels natural even for touch-typing. It’s not quite as snappy as a full-sized laptop keyboard, but for writing drafts, taking notes, or juggling emails, it holds up well. The case is surprisingly thin and light considering it combines both protective shell and keyboard. I carried it around all day without feeling like I was hauling an extra brick in my bag. The leather-textured exterior helps protect the tablet from scratches and dings while still feeling nice in hand. Battery life has been impressive too. With regular use (a couple of hours of typing each day) I didn’t have to charge it for weeks — far longer than most Bluetooth keyboards I’ve tried. The magnets built into the case also help wake and sleep the tablet when you open and close it, which feels thoughtful and saves power overall. It’s not without its limitations. The keyboard isn’t backlit, so low-light typing isn’t ideal, and if you’re trying to use it in bed or on the couch without a flat surface, the rigidity of the folio can feel a bit cumbersome compared with a simple standalone Bluetooth keyboard. Those are solvable trade-offs, but worth knowing depending on how you plan to use it. For everyday productivity — emails, essays, notes, web research — this folio turns an iPad-style tablet into something much closer to a laptop without adding a ton of bulk. For someone who uses their tablet as a working device rather than just for media or browsing, it’s a worthwhile step up from basic cases.

What you see is what you get.
I was hesitant about buying this for the price since it was only $15. But I've had a Zagg mophie case in the past & liked that & knew it's a reputable brand. It looks just like the picture and works terrific! I love the purple color. It's understated but makes it easy to find. The keyboard works great & pairs up through Bluetooth easily. When closed, it makes for a solid & slimline case. It's a tiny heavier than a a faux leather or suede case but sturdier & remains closed when you want it to be. I also like that I can angle the screen & it stays put. I highly suggest it. Thank you.

My third purchase from Zagg
I have iPads and this has been a good value. I carry my IPads everywhere. I loved the fact I can type and use it anywhere and so practical. Worth the purchase and value. I have priced them elsewhere. Amazon is still the best value. I like the fact the case is sturdy and comes in colors.

Wish it was more sturdy.
Fit’s good, I love the keyboard, but it broke apart. This is my second one that I bought.

Great fit, turns an iPad into a laptop.

Purchased this cover / keyboard, as it looked good and had a keyboard feature, which is what I was after. Less than 3 months of regular use, the plastic above the hinge has snapped, rendering the case useless. It’s not what I would consider to be a quality product or fit for purpose. I would not recommend.
