Would this work for a plastic utility sink?

This cleaner is for cleaning piping prior to contact cement. Not for general purpose cleaning.

Will this remove the ads and words that are printed on PVC pipe?

We purchased the cleaner for that reason. Unfortunately, it just makes the ink run, but doesn't remove it, so if the ink is red and you applied the cleaner, you would no longer see the ads and words, but the ink would smear and make the pipe pink. The only thing we found that worked to remove the ads and words was using a pocket knife to scrape it off.
