You just can't beat having someone hand you all the supplies for under $30 to redeem a smashed Ipad screen. This is the second screen we've had to install and it's not as scary as we thought at first. This kit was great, esp since the adhesive actually sticks. Really though, REALLY heed the Youtube warning to not overheat the device when you take the hair drier to it to get the glass off. The LCD is more fragile than it seems and heat damage is permanent. We ended up with a couple spots along the edges where we got it too hot. But the screen kit rocks. Our situation was unrelated to that. We will buy this kit again, but hopefully won't have to.

I've used several manufacturers and many apple after market replacement products but XIAO MO GU's products are by far the best and most compatible product out there. Everything fit just right, the adhesive glue strip that comes included works perfectly and finally the operation of the product and quality is superb. I will definitely keep using them recommend them to anyone. Heck I would use their product to replace the president's ipad screen.great job XIAO MO GU!Ps. Adhesive tape to adhere the screen to the case will be needed for a successful repair. Some replacement screens come with Kapton ESD Tape to eliminate ghosting & touch issues. This one does not so you'll want to order some. The replacement part itself seems very nice. I made the stupid mistake of ordering this item from an Amazon warehouse deal to save a few bucks ..BIG mistake! The item received had clearly been previously returned & had a tiny rip in the ribbon cable making it DEFECTIVE & unusable! Returning it. I'm taking my stupidity out of the equation & giving it 4 stars simply because it didn't come with Adhesive or Kapton ESD tape which is important for getting the job done correctly. Watch online videos a couple times, organize yourself (especially those teansy tiny screws), go slow, & you will own success in the form of a sparkling clean new screen!

The GoodScreen looks and feels authentic.Almost all tools needed for installation are included (except a heat gun).Price is acceptable.The BadThe Home Button mechanism is utter crap! Sometimes it's hard to press and other times it sticks at the bottom. If I had it to do over I would have transplanted the Home Button from the original screen onto the new one.The UglyAfter installation the screen was not flush with the bottom lip (probably from left over adhesive residue I failed to scrap off or possibly from the home button unit being too thick). I attempted to rectify this situation by pressing really hard with my thumb where the screen meets the metal lip. This caused a thumb sized fracture two inches to the left of the crappy home button. First time replacing the glass and it worked. The square on the round home button is a little off center but the thickness of the glass is pretty much identical to the original. You have to be patient and make sure you get familiar with the process by watching YouTube videos several times before doing it. The tools that came with the item are very helpful!

I watched a YouTube tutorial and was able to replaced the crack digitizer within one hour. It saved me a new iPad or $150 repair cost from Batteries+Bulbs. It comes with everything you need to replace the digitizer but the only thing is the screwdriver is not magnetic so you have to be careful when removing the small screws because it'll stick to the side of the iPad.

I've repaired maybe 10 phones, and 3 or so tablets, and so far this is the best replacement part I've worked with, out of at least 8 different manufacturers. Out of maybe 6-8 apple products of those 13 or so devices, this part easily had the best "feeling" home button. Great buy for the price, as it was cheaper than the first touch panel I ordered for this device, from a different manufacturer, that was DOA.

Excellent product. I tried a cheaper product that failed within two weeks before buying this one. In short, I can say that you are paying for a better quality product here. The cheaper version did not come with the adhesive pre-applied, looked inferior, and the digitizer started going crazy before eventually becoming unusable. Don't settle with a cheaper option and get this one - you will not regret it.
