Works so well I got a second one!
I rarely write reviews but I came here specifically because this mouse is great! As someone who is technologically challenged I appreciate everything about it-- I bought one of these 5 years ago and use it heavily everyday, it still works like a dream which is why I bought a second one to use on a separate computer. Started using this new one and it was just as easy to set up as the first one, just plugged in the USB piece and was able to use it immediately, no further setup required. As a bonus, it already came with batteries like the last one did (by the way I never turn off my 5 year old mouse and the same batteries are still in it working great). Smooth operation, ergonomic, easy to use, and portable!

Fantastically Reliable Mouse!
I've used this brand and model of wireless computer mouse for many years. It's very reliable and gets the job done so smoothly that I rarely think about it; it just works. Recently, I discovered that the last "Logi" mouse I'd been using for such a long time that it had built up debris from oils on my hands, dust in the office, etc. I cleaned it, but it was starting to get past the achieving-a-realistic-clean stage. I decided it's time to send it for electronics recycling and start fresh. This time I will try to do a better job of routine cleaning, and not just take the mouse for granted. Logitech has updated it's old simple logo to be more modern - utilizing "Logi" for the graphics now. They certainly have a solid product. It fits my hand easily. It's lightweight, and easy to move around. Battery life is so good I can't recall the last time I had to change batteries. The color is an industrial dark gray matte shade; almost black. It works impeccably well.

Fast setup, easy connect
The length is great for comfort. Ergonomic curves allow the mouse to fit comfortably between thumb and ring finger. The length takes pressure from the wrist by allowing your fingers to rest in a flat and straighter position. Other products are too curved, with a big arch that cups the fingers. The M510 feels like you hand is just resting on a table top. Very comfortable. The buttons are quiter than generic, but yiu still hear a light click. The middle mouse wheel is a bit wobbly because it clicks left, right, and down (so the mousewheel has a 3 way switch, and also scrolls). The side buttons are large enough to feel certain about which you are on, thanks to a curve in between the side buttons. The USB dongle is easy to take out of the battery conpartment, plugs into the computer, device is detected, and you can use the M510 straight away. You just need to remove the divider between the battery contacts (seen in the pictures). The batteries come with the mouse, but i would recommend buying some rechargeable. Nothing like gaming and suddenly the mouse quits working due to a battery running empty! Overall, a good product. I would prefer the middle mouse button / wheel was sturdier. It feels a bit flimsy and I suspect it will be the first part to fail. However, having the 3-way wheel buttons is going to add more options for the operator. There is no DPi button to quickly change cursor speeds, so your mouse settings will have to be done in the control panel of the computer. The optic is infrared, so there is no visible red laser light from the bottom. Using 2 batteries makes the M510 a bit heavier than some other options, Once I started gaming, I forgot that i was even using a new and different mouse. It feels natural, it works good. Worth every penny!

REALLY GOOD WIRELESS MOUSE FOR WORK AND CASUAL USE
This mouse works great for my job and the fact that it's wireless is a bonus. The forward and back buttons are very useful to me and I use them daily. The only issue I have with this mouse is that the wheel makes noise as it moves side to side when I'm not using it. I can move the mouse without having my hand near the wheel and it seems to rattle. I have another logictech mouse, different model, that doesn't make that noise when I move it around. Maybe the one I received has a defect, or maybe it's a bad internal design for the wheel on this model. The mouse does its job, but that's just a bit of a nuisance, thus the 4 star rating.

Excellent mouse and more!
The Logitech M510 wireless mouse is a very comfortable and smoothly performing mouse. It is a full size mouse that nicely fills up the palm of the hand. The weight of the mouse is "just right". The mouse body is symmetrical so that will be equally comfortable for left or right handed people. The mouse movement and scroll wheel work perfectly smoothly with no jump or jitter. The mouse optical performance is very robust on poor surfaces. It works equally well on a mousepad, a bare table, on a pants leg, back of a book, even the palm of the hand. It tracks perfectly on almost any surface (which many other mouse brands have trouble with). These mice use the Logitech "Unifying" USB mini receiver which can support up to six Logitech devices by itself. If you have a Logitech mouse, keyboard, trackball, etc... they can all operate from the same receiver (saves using up USB ports). Be aware that the unifying receiver ONLY works with Logitech products and that it is NOT Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Logitech products can be "paired" with the unifying receiver in Windows and MAC (of course) and also in Linux by using the software package called "solaar" (free, open source). The mouse comes pre-paired to the receiver, so it works "out of the box". If you want to add (up to 5 more devices), you have to pair them yourself. The battery life is awesome. Because I hate leaking batteries, I always use AA lithium cells for everything (including the mouse). My first old Logitech MS-510 mouse that I purchased over three years ago is still working fine on the FIRST batteries that I installed in it (two AA lithium). Since I use it on my desktop the mouse power switch is always left on. It must consume practically no power when not being used. If you use the mouse with a laptop or need to move it from computer to computer, the little unifying receiver can be stored inside the mouse (in a little USB sized slot next to the batteries) to avoid losing it. What follows is some technical information that you can skip if you don't care. Construction: This mouse is very nicely engineered and can be completely disassembled by removing two little screws inside the battery compartment. No screws hide under the teflon slider pads, so those don't get damaged if you take the mouse apart. Every component then can be removed simply by sliding or snapping it out. Why take it apart? See next. My personal feeling is that the left and right mouse buttons are too light (i.e. press too easily). The buttons are no lighter than other mice, I just prefer them a bit tighter. To change this, I replace the two little microswitches with Omron Series D2F-01 parts that have a 150 gf actuation force. It takes about twice the pressure to click these switches as compared to the originals. To replace them is super simple: Just unsolder the originals and solder the new ones in place. If you forget which way they go in, the orientation is printed on the PC board. The side "scroll" buttons already use heavier pressure microswitches, so I don't change these. The "middle button" (pressing the scroll wheel) and the left/right scroll switches (rock the scroll wheel left or right) are a different type of switch that also do not need changing. If you disassemble the mouse, be aware that the little plastic slider for the power switch will be free to fall out when the mouse PC board is removed. If you don't know this, it's possible for the slider to silently fall out, never to be seen again. I won't tell you HOW to unsolder and resolder the button microswitches, because if you don't know how, you shouldn't be doing jt in the first place (or get an electronics-knowledgable friend to help). And, of course opening and modifying the mouse will void the warranty! I will give you one important hint: Because the mouse was assembled using RoHS compliant lead free solder, the microswitch solder joints should first be RE-SOLDERED with leaded solder before sucking or wicking the joints clean. This is done to "alloy" the high temperature lead free solder into more manageable leaded solder to avoid burning/ruining the (single sided) PC board. Good luck! This mouse (hacked or not) gets 5 stars and both thumbs up. It works flawlessly, it's comfortable, battery life is amazing and the price is good (even better when it's sometimes on sale). Grab one!

Reliable Daily Mouse 🖱️🔋
I have tried this Logitech M510 wireless mouse for over a year. in fact I have purchased two. One for home and one for the office. It appears to be made of high quality materials, featuring soft rubber grips and a contoured shape for palm support. Supposedly, the battery lasts for 24 months, though I will have to get back to you in two years to confirm if that is true or just a very confident guess. It is awesome. The value is good for a 7 button mouse with 1000 DPI laser grade tracking. It uses a 2.4 GHz USB Unifying receiver that stays in your laptop and lets you add other compatible devices. Flipping through web pages is easy with the programmable back and forward buttons, and you can even do side to side scrolling. It is designed specifically for right handers, so if you are left handed, using this will be a great way to practice your hand contortionist skills 🖐️ The on/off switch and sleep mode help save power. My advice is to download the specific Logitech software mentioned in the manual if you want to customize the zoom and scroll features to work exactly how you want them 💻 This graphite mouse is a solid, no nonsense tool for work or casual browsing 🖱️

Good feel and love the extra controls
This mouse is perfect for the office worker. The side scrolling ability by tilting the scroll wheel makes excel sheets a breeze. The forward/back buttons work great in most applications, especially in web browsers. This mouse is a must for any office worker. Very comfortable in the hand and small enough to easily take wherever you go. Wish it came in more colors to personalize my office space but overall excellent mouse for the price!

Um dos melhores mouse da Logitech. Tanto em conforto quanto em durabilidade. Tenho outro há sete anos que está funcionando perfeitamente. Fiquei muito satisfeito em ter a oportunidade de comprar outra unidade.
