They were extremely helpful, I was impressed!!! Just had knee replacement surgery and this unit is the best of the three units I've tried. The ability to turn the pump ON, then OFF, then ON again is such a wonderful feature. I slept in a recliner overnight and the pump ran ON for 20 minutes, followed by OFF for 30 minutes without interruption, all night long. The reservoir remained cold all night as well, longer than other units, and it was light weight by design. Worth every penny! Reduces swelling, provides comfort, and lets you forget about it while it works. 100% a MUST HAVE if having knee replacement surgery, perhaps other surgeries as well, just know how it did in my circumstance.
