The wires feel very high quality, very flexible, thick AND heavy. Connections (banana) FEEL kinda cheapy on the plastic but when you connect them theres no question it's a solid, high quality firm connection. Same with the alligators - they have kind of a cheapy plastic feeling to them so I want expecting much ( also because another reviewer said that the alligators were crappy) BUT not was I wrong. These alligators are SOLID. Despite how they look, they have a very solid hinge and smooth wide opening that will clamp on strong. The alligators are easily what sets this kit apart from the rest. They are far easier to pinch open and keep a hold of ( without them slipping out from under your thumb) than any other I've ever tried! Yet at the same time they have stronger spring pressure than the typical alligator clips do. Also the back pinning probes are VERY solid, smooth & sharp. Won't Bend easily and will stab through anything you need it to. Comes with lots of extra replacement needles with very smooth quality threads. Another nice thing is the fully insulated ends of the wires so you don't have to worry about short out. Don't hesitate to get this kit it's well worth the few extra bucks that it costs over the competitors. BTW--my primary uses: Automotive diagnostic & electronics hobbyist/nerd. DVOM & Oscilloscope The only thing that would make this kit better would be something to keep them in and/or organized. Some kind of plastic case would be wonderful but guess I'm dreamin lol

Purchased these to keep in our diagnostic cart at our automotive repair shop. They are high quality and have zero resistance when plugged directly into a multimeter or connected to a scope. The variety of colors makes it easy to use and keep circuits separated during testing. Great value and very functional with all the included attachments.

This was exactly what i was looking for. A few things don't fit as tight but a gentle squeeze with pliers solved that, which is why it gets 4 stars.

With the advent of the use of smaller and smaller component parts - plugs, jacks, connectors, etc. in appliances and automobiles it has become difficult sometimes to find probes and connections which will allow measurement of voltages, resistance, etc. in order to trouble shoot problems. I was happy to find a set of probes that allow access to some of the smallest components in order to check for continuity. I was especially gratified to find this set is compatible with my Craftsman VOM. The jacks for the seat occupant sensor of my Mercedes E350 are very tiny. There is a probe with a needle point for accessing the tiny wires. I have had many times when I needed a third hand to hold two probes on points and hold the meter at the same time. I also have found that if I had a third hand I could probably drink more beer with grace - but that's another review. The important part of this is the use of the included alligator clamps. The importance of a good set of probes cannot be overlooked. If you can't pick up a signal your meter is essentially useless. This true when you are 10 or 15' away from the point being measured. There are 4 ea. leads that are 3' long. The plug end of one lead will fit the jack end of a second lead. With the four leads supplied with this package you can be 12' away from the meter. If you have leads that were supplied with your meter you can plug into the new leads and have a total length of approx. 14' - 15'. If you look at the photo on the left - Lower Right Corner - you can see a green lead plugged into a yellow lead. Very innovative and easy to do. These leads are very good. Look carefully at the photo on the Right. It shows the meter. At the bottom left of the meter you can see the type of jack used. If your meter looks like that you are golden. Good product

This is an awesome set that has come in quite handy at our BMW repair shop. The cables are super flexible & the attachments give you plenty of testing options. The only criticism might be that the alligator clips are a bit stiffly sprung. Still the set was well worth it

Soft silicone rubber, connections seem to be good. Not sure if the wire is shielded but seemed to work fine with lab scope.
