Trivia Smartness! Very Good!
Mom loves these books. She likes to read any knowledge or trivia books. Now, the only complaint I have is, there's a link in the back to recieve 2 free books. When I try to pull it up there's no such link. I would like to know how we can get the 2 free books as its stated inside the back cover?. See picture

Entertaining and Easy Read
The Great Book of Crazy President Trivia wasn’t great, but it was entertaining and an easy read. I had hoped to learn some new tidbits of previously unknown facts to wow friends with but found that many of the anecdotes have been written about before and the others weren’t that much of a wow. One thing that became evident as I read was how much presidential politics of the past resemble those faced today. Negative campaigning? Just look at the attacks made against Andrew Jackson’s wife when he ran for president. Immigration concerns? Fillmore ran in 1856 with the principal policy of limiting Irish Catholic immigration. Race relations? Hayes removed troops from the southern states which led to their violation of black rights, violations that continue today in the form of disparate voter registration practices and Republican Party favoring voter districting. If you’re a lover of American History, then this is a text that will drive you to research the presidents’ lives further. It’s a perfect book for when you have a limited amount of time and need something to read. Otherwise, the book is an enjoyable read and it will leave you without regret at the short amount of time it took to read.

Proof reading and Fact Finding before publishing would have helped
I actually enjoyed reading this book but found several typos and when it came to Oswald, blatant errors were made. Oswald went to the Soviet Union 9 days, not 9 years after his Marine discharge. The line about Jack Ruby never having a trial is false. He was found guilty by a Dallas jury and given a death sentence in March 1964..the appeal trial never took place but what I wonder is, he was shown killing Oswald on national television! What was his plea? I do wonder how many other false facts are in this book? If all the scandals are true, we can say Nothing has Changed.

I love books, but this was a waste
This book is a couple of trite snippets about each president. Did you know Washington didn't really have wooden teeth--that's major news for this author. I love trivia, and enjoy reading about the presidents. The trivia was truly trivial, poorly written, and often inane. Perhaps if you are a precocious 3rd grader, this might be ok. If you're an adult, spend your money on something else--almost anything else would be better.
